I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpations. James Madison

It's a shame you are wrong. While, I agree, cut and run it not the right strategy, it is not the mainstream Democrats strategy either. They are trying to sell it that way for the votes, but they will not leave Iraq. They are planning on "re-deploying" troops to different areas in Iraq, where the sectarian violence is low and they will be effective. They are looking to leave the "civil war fighting" to those involved directly in it.

The Democrats want to secure the boarders of Iraq from Iran, Syria, etc and prevent an Al Qaeda or Iranian uprising in the country, something Bush and Co didn't think of going in.

With that said, the Democrats are still liars. They are pandering to their base, pretending they will leave Iraq, when most know, that leaving is not a possibility... Mom always said, "If you make a mess, clean it up."

Iraq is a mess and it will take no leadership to clean it up, it's obvious Bush's mother wasn't always there to guide him.
