New Hampshire Soldier in Iraq Shares his Ongoing Story

April 16, 2007

Here is an article that appeared in the New Hampshire Union Leader.

It is about a local man,  LT. Col. Jonathan Sistare, who shares his story as he is on a mission to clear Sadr City. He talks about some of the small, kind things they are doing over there as they carry on their mission.

I wish we would see more stories like this in the mainstream media as I know we are performing many courageous and righteous acts over there. I know war is ugly, but sometimes it’s necessary, and here is one example of some good that is coming out of it.

Lt. Col. Jonathan Sistare is on military assignment after being called up. Prior to that he was town Manager in Jaffrey, NH where he communicated very little to his superiors and to his subordinates. He was being investigated by the Police Chief so he suspended and eventually had the chief fired.

We don’t wish him harm and hope for his safe return so that we can fire him!
