Maybe because taxes are the only way to make people move their ass and start being smart, understanding our way of living has an effect on the planet we are living in?????

Its sad but I have to agree that making the polluters pay is the only way people will start to change.
The price of gas in USA had the direct effect that those crazy SUV’s finally started to be less sold GOOD for the planet.
Price of oil makes other alternative become concurential ! Good for the planet.
People are mostly STUPID, they only go for the less expensive for everyhting including food, not thinking that this “low cost” stuff comes at a price : bad quality, slavery, children-work in china etc

Its time for humanity to wake up and understadn we have to stop seeking always more and more money, more and more useless junk to buy, more and mroe everything, and less and less thinking, less and less humanism, less and less evolving.
So, sadly yes, carbon tax is a good start, IF and only IF this money is well used in helping ecological moves around the world.

I side with mpinkeyes on this. Pressure has to be continually mounted and increased to correct the wrongs in our society.

We should learn from the past and current practices of many that pulling an ostrich head in the sand move equates into only one thing.
