You are assuming that this man HAS feelings! His opinions on abortion have not changed from what I see in over 4 years since this article was written. Isn’t generalizing and calling everyone on this blog “Nasty divisive monsters” a bit over the top? It is a pity that you have so much hate in you. You should try basing your comments on fact and not emotion.

Your post reminds me of something that took place 40 years ago, before the abortion BS was passed. My sister-in-law went into labor and during the birth something went wrong. I remember the doctor coming out and asking my brother if it comes to a choice would he rather save the baby or his wife. He said his wife. It was a sad decision for him, but we all understood. As it turned out, they both made it just fine, but my point is, that was 40 years ago. What would make someone think it would be a problem now? I think this is the way liberals, pro choice, people want to make you think it is….abortion or no choices. That’s BS! I think of Pro Choice as picking black shoes or brown shoes. Maybe it should be what kind of birth control you use.

As usual people hear and read what they want to hear and read. You people need to learn the facts. Yes, Mr. Obama did indeed vote Present (which means he abstained). Yes, he said these things about previable fetuses. While I think he should have exercised more care in his choice of words, the fact is the bill in question would have banned *all* abortions. Sounds good on the face of it. However the bill made no provisions for the life of the mother. If my wife is pregnant and goes into eclampsya, I will make the hard choice to terminate the pregnancy to save her life. While I do believe the unborn child is a person, and abhor abortion for mere convienence, I believe it is necessary if carrying the baby to term will end her life. And if she dies, the unborn baby will most likely die as well. Then we’ve lost two people. In this case abortion will save a life. Failing to abort will cause the death of at least one person and in all likelyhood two. Of course, if she has a living will stating she would rather die than abort, then you have to respect her wishes. Barring that I think we have a moral responsibility to err on the side of caution for an already viable person; the mother.

The Republicans are always complaining that the Demrocrats want the government to take care of everything,however, they want to play God and tell a woman what she can and can not do with her body….hypocritical to say the least………………
