I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpations. James Madison

I say this in all honesty: Poor John...
He's tried everything, anything and anyone, even Palin. [She actually agrees with him on very few issues.] He grabbed her as VP so he could appear more conservative. She's being used to add life to his campaign and she's using him for political gain...especially if he should suddenly exit to the great beyond, while in office. Perish that thought, it sends chills up my spine. But... As his ploys got very annoying to me, and I put up with his flip flopping and then this VERY poor choice as VP; I realized, lets face it, she's a heartbeat away from the Presidency. I consider this poor judgment. Thus, though having voted Republican for years, I've been swayed and made a hard left.
Plastic vs. Human is the way I now see it. Try as they may,
Palin & McCain just can't seem to get a handle on campaigning without making it ugly. I truly couldn't handle 4 years of them---the last thing this troubled country needs is mean-spiritedness, too. Calm, strong and steady appeals to me: GO O'BAMA!

Please vote for McCain! Do you really want an EXTREME RADICAL in office? I understand the economy sucks, but you need to please look at all the facts about Obama!

First of all, he is friends with a terrorist. William Aires is a terrorist. They have alot of history together. That is the First reason not to vote for this man! We don't want someone with the most important job in this country to be in any kind of friendly relationship with a terroist!

Second, he has no record. Everyone is all over Palin about her record. Do you not realize that Palin has had to make more decisions in her positions as Mayor and Governer, than Obama has in the senate. If he becomes President he will be the final vote in Congress(which is already full of democrats), so if you don't like some of the decisions Congress is making now, just wait for more of the same when he gets into office.

Third, He will raise your taxes and I don't care what he is saying right now. He has voted numerous times to raise taxes. When he was running for office in Chicago, he promised to cut taxes on middle class and then turned around and raised them after he got elected. He will raise taxes on Small Businesses. That will mean job cuts. The majority of Small Businesses make more than that 250k number in a year. If he raises taxes we will enter a DEPRESSION.

Finally, he believes in a form of Abortion that would kill babies that were supposed to be aborted and survived it by some miracle. I believe abortion is ok in certain circumstances, like if a woman was raped and it led to pregnancy. But his belief on abortion is that you could take a life away from a baby that is 27 weeks gestation. That is like a 1-2 lb baby. This is way too extreme!!

If you read all of this and you are on the fence, I hope that this gave you some more education, so that you can make an educated decision in the voting booth.

I just want to say that I am not Republican or Democrat. I am somewhere in the middle. I have been studying up on the candidates to try to make an educated decision when I vote because I feel that we need the right person in office to clean up the mess that will be left behind by Bush.

You won't hear most of this on NBC or CNN, because they have already decided who should win the election.

I am not the biggest fan of McCain, but Obama scares the hell out of me!

One final thought. McCain is not Bush, Bush is not McCain. These two men are not the same person! If you watch the utube video of Bush's endorsement you can tell how much they hate each other, so McCain is not a big Bush supporter either!

READ THIS EXERPT I GOT FROM YAHOO AND U WILL FIND MY REASON. PALIN MUGHT START WAR IF RUSSIA DOESNT RESPOND. IN THE COLD WAR, PEOPLE AWAITED MISSLES AND BOMBS DESTROYING THE EARTH. RUSSIA STILL HAS A HUGE QUANITY OF WEAPONS IN IT NUCLEAR ARSEINAL. IF START WAR, THE END OF THE WORLD THAT THE AZTEC MADE 100s OF YEARS ABOUT WILL BE TRUE. A VOTE FOR MCCAIN MEANS IF RUSSIA ATTACKS ITS SURROUNDING COUNTRY, WW3 IS LIKLY TO HAPPEN. SO IF U DONT WANT BOMBS ON UR ROOF DONT VOTE FOR HIM. HERE IS THE EXERPT. ONCE U READ IT. EMAIL OR TELL UR FRIEND this message.

FORT WAINWRIGHT, Alaska - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin left open the option Thursday of waging war with Russia if it were to invade neighboring Georgia and the former Soviet republic were a NATO ally. "We will not repeat a Cold War," Palin said in her first television interview since becoming Republican John McCain's vice presidential running mate two weeks ago.

Palin told Charles Gibson of ABC News that she'd favor including Georgia and Ukraine, both former Soviet republics, in NATO despite opposition by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. Asked whether the United States would have to go to war with Russia if it invaded Georgia, and the country was part of NATO, Palin said: "Perhaps so."

"I mean, that is the agreement when you are a NATO ally, is if another country is attacked, you're going to be expected to be called upon and help," she said.

Pressed on the question, Palin responded: "What I think is that smaller democratic countries that are invaded by a larger power is something for us to be vigilant against ... We have got to show the support, in this case, for Georgia. The support that we can show is economic sanctions perhaps against Russia, if this is what it leads to."

She added: "It doesn't have to lead to war and it doesn't have to lead, as I said, to a Cold War, but economic sanctions, diplomatic pressure, again, counting on our allies to help us do that in this mission of keeping our eye on Russia and Putin and some of his desire to control and to control much more than smaller democratic countries."

Palin spoke the same day Putin insisted that Russia has no intention of encroaching on the sovereignty of Georgia, following a brief war that left Russian troops in firm control of two breakaway regions. Putin also aggressively defended the decision to send troops to Georgia, saying Russia had to act after Georgia attacked South Ossetia last month.

On other matters, Palin said she "didn't hesitate" when McCain asked her to be his running mate, a surprise selection that shook up the presidential race.
