I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpations. James Madison

My take as a disability advocate at a rehab center in Philadelphia, PA is this. It may be quite difficult for people who are low income to produce a photo ID. This includes many people who are disabled, seniors and college students. Besides quite a few seniors, by virtue of getting older are handicapped. There just arn't that many folks who are poor who possess passports. Plus there are a significant number of people with disabilities who can't get driver's licenses because their disabilities. When was the last time you saw a visually disabled person with a driver's license. There are many states who don't require photo ID with little or no problems in voter fraud and/or voter registration. The point is that a lot of these photo IDs are very difficult for people with low incomes, ie, disabled, seniors and others on fixed incomes to get. This population mostly votes Democratic. Hmmm Pattern?

I thought you might like to know I did some research and proved the this whole thing wrong. The article title is,
The Claim of "the Republican Voter ID Scheme" Debunked!. I actually had fun because at every turn I was able to prove that this whole thing is made up. There isn't once shred of evidence that the problem exists because every state has to allow everyone to vote, with or without documentation and each state has a specific recourse to deal with those who show up without documentation. Anyway, you might want to take a look at the article. I used several sources to back up my point.

Talk to you soon.

It's funny you said that. That is exactly how it happens in my town also. As a matter of fact once they get the book open to the right page I can usually find my name before they can. It would be so easy for anyone to take a ballot under someone else's name.

I always find it laughable that the people passing out the ballots in my town are at least mid-60"s. They have the books open you basically can look down and pick a name that doesn't have a red check beside it. Sad.
