Point well taken. One if the things that I have found most offensive is when Dick Durbin compaired our troops at GITMO to the Soviet gulags and Pol Pot and here I am using the same type if rhetoric.

Always offensive.

Comparing environmentalists, radical or otherwise, or any other group for that matter to the Nazi’s is offensive. Simply saying “radical environmentalists” would’ve sufficed.

The term isn’t meant to describe people who care about the environment. I care about the environment. The term applies to people, mostly politicians, but also to some of the more radical environmentalists, who want to take away freedoms by banning many activities such as sitting in your car while it is running, BBQ’s, banning drive throughs at restaurants, banning fireplaces in houses, controlling your house’s temperature by remote control, banning the lightbulb and plastic bags, claims that obese people are to blame for global warming as well as population control being needed to stop global warming. I have written about all of these topics before.
I hope you will not be too critical of my grammer or punctuaion in that last sentence, my point is that the radicals are trying to use this issue as a way to dictate how we can live our lives, and with all of the proposed solutions to this “problem” including many new taxes it will be very easy to control our behavior, we won’t have any money to do anything anyway.

From dictionary.com, definition #3:
Nazi, a person who is fanatically dedicated to or seeks to control a specified activity, practice, etc.

In fairness it does say that this definition is sometimes offensive.

I’m not even going to respond to any points you tried to make about Obama directly, because I’d be tossed aside as an Obama apologist. Just remember, you can say whatever you want about how scary he is or bad for the country… whatever.

I’m more scared about McCain by far. I’m scared for the rest of the year while we continue to have King George. You all think I’m crazy for that. Fine. I think you’re crazy too.

Yes we are. (f**ked no matter who wins) Obama I can see doing this. But McCain? WTF? First the car battery thing, now this? Is he really just pandering, or this a setup b/c he does believe in bigger government? To me, it seems like he is just making it look like the “green” thing is just a bandwagon, a “fad” as the “kids” use to say. Like, crazy, man. Can you dig it? It’s pretty dumb, makes him look like even more of an “old codger” than he actually is. Well, I guess it might be worth it if he put all this BS up front and snuck around & like I don’t know, closed the borders?

I agree. Whoever wins, we are screwed.

You know, there is a reason I read liberal sites. I learn alot from them. And you are dead-on when you write

Ever read the Daily Kos? One of the most liberal sites I read. There’s very good info on there about what our reps/senators/govt officials are doing but you’d be ASTOUNDED at the number of Obama apologists/Obama can do no wrong people on there.

These people will vote for him NO MATTER WHAT! Obama can take away our rights. They say “he had to in order to win the election.” Obama can be as vague as he wants with all his “change” business, and people will weep at his “eloquence.” Very few politicians have made me so uneasy. I was firmly against him, then intrigued, then interested,then optimistic, then turned off. I do not like feeling “played.”

I don’t know if you saw the article the NYTimes wrote about his books. There was an interesting comment in that article about one of his books that has stuck with me:

This man is more clever than many people think. He is using people and his “charisma” to sway people heart’s and get them to stop using their heads.

McCain tries to do this, he’s just not as good.
