Yes but the donations in question are from people living abroad who claim they are citizens but either didn’t include their home state when they donated or even worse included an state abbreviation that didn’t exist. That sounds phoney to me.

This does not seem like such a big deal. I am a US citizen living in Canada, and I contributed to both the Kerry and Obama campaigns. In fact, if 10,000 US citizens living abroad each contributed $300 (not hard to imagine), that would come to $3 million. All legal – but here is another false alarm for the Republicans (SO nasty this year, with the repugnant robocalls and the flat out lies) to deceive voters with.
So, chill pills all around please.
