President Obama Gets Angry at White House Press Corps
Our eloquent and gracious dear leader made a surprise visit to the White House press corps to show everyone how wonderful he was. But then something happened, a member of the press asked President Obama a tough question, a question that he didn’t like.
We all know how H feels about tough questions from the one or two times he was asked a tough question on the campaign trail. H doesn’t like to be asked tough questions. We also know that H has been growing tired of all of the media attention that now surrounds him, so is it really surprising that he snapped today when someone had the audacity (of hope) to ask him a question?
President Obama made a surprise visit to the White House press corps Thursday night, but got agitated when he was faced with a substantive question.
Asked how he could reconcile a strict ban on lobbyists in his administration with a Deputy Defense Secretary nominee who lobbied for Raytheon, Obama interrupted with a knowing smile on his face.
“Ahh, see,” he said, “I came down here to visit. See this is what happens. I can’t end up visiting with you guys and shaking hands if I’m going to get grilled every time I come down here.”
He threatens not to be their friend any more if they are going to grill him about the issues? This really is the fault of the media though. They befriended him and helped him win the presidency so now he feels as though they should be friendly and not question him. He is taken aback when they question the messiah.
But the reporter pressed on and dear leader grew more agitated:
Alright, come on” he said, with obvious irritation in his voice. “We will be having a press conference at which time you can feel free to [ask] questions. Right now, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to you guys – that’s all I was trying to do
In other words, no comment.
President Obama was saved by a reporter who managed to change the subject by doing what Obama had expected in the first place- kissing his ass:
The president was quickly saved by a cameraman in the room who called out: “I’d like to say it one more time: ‘Mr. President.’
A cameraman changes the subject by basically telling H how wonderful it sounds to call Barack Obama Mr. President. Now that is what President Obama had expected in the first place. Otherwise he wouldn’t have shown up.

It’s called having a sense of humor.

I read over at the AP today that Obama also didn’t allow the press in for the first day at work photos. He had some done up and sent out, which the AP and some other papers rejected. Sounds like the honeymoon may be coming to an end….

I feel that your blog “Mr pink eyes” is biased against Obama from the start, (Are you a Bush fan?) at least give the guy a chance, he’s just stepped into the job and the problems that the Bush legacy has left him with are mind boggling! I’d like to see you take the job on and see how you would solve the problems that Bush has left America with! Instead of pulling the guy down from the side lines you should be supporting him in his endeavours You’d soon change your sarcastic tone towards him then! Right?

Dave, for reasons I wrote about here, no I will not give Obama a chance. I don’t agree with him.
Bart, there is more to life than being a vitriolic right-wing douche bag? Like the way you are spending life reading vitriolic right-wing douche bags like myself? Does this mean you won’t be coming back? I will miss your insightful commentary if you don’t. And yes Dave, that was more of my sarcasm.

Of course Obama would be upset at the Politico Reporter for daring to question the Presidents nominee, who I might add does not qualify under Obama’s own “Executive Ethics Order” The reporter had the nerve to wonder why the President would place a former lobbyist of a major defence contractor in the Pentagon–How Unpatriotic

Good morning Mr. Pink Eyes,
Looks like you are really getting to the lefties lately.
Just like their messiah, they can’t tolerate a dissenting opinion.
Keep up the good work.
And now for your entertainment, something completely irrelevant….
Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out facts of 2008 Presidential election:
Number of States won by:
Democrats: 19
Republicans: 29
Square miles of land won by:
Democrats: 580,000
Republicans: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by:
Democrats: 127 million
Republicans: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
Democrats: 13.2
Republicans: 2.1
Professor Olson adds:
“In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won by Republicans was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.
Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare.
Professor Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the “complacency and apathy” phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation’s population already having reached the “governmental dependency” phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal’s and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.
This should make you think. Or worry. Or both.

By the way, I don’t think that the question was even a particularly tough one. Just wait until the press really starts asking real questions. I am looking forward to the American people asking and demanding answers to the tough questions.

Bart you suck
Dave reading between the lines I think you show signs of heavy Kool Aid ingestion. It’ll be ok though you and the others have a big burp soon .
Cycles will go the way they do and always will and sadly Obama will go down in history as great. Either that or he’ll go Carter on us. I think he’s mre likely to do the latter.

I think Bart is probably single. Anyway, is P.O. kidding me? WHAT THE HELL DID HE THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN? AND, furthermore, that was a fair question that he should have been happy to answer ( try and twist the answer to his advantage.) President D’Ohbama.

Why don’t I have a choice? I do have a choice, it is what America is all about. I am the Patriotic Dissenter, I am fighting for the truth, I am the loyal opposition. I am your guiding light in this time of trouble. Step into the light.
Seriously though, America does give the people the opportunity to dissent, this is not a communist regime, at least not yet. We do have free speech and we are allowed to pass judgement on our leaders and I intend to do so. I will not shut up and bend over and take what Obama wants to give me, I will stand up and fight.
It is the American way.
