Senate votes to stop funding ACORN

September 15, 2009

The last week or two have not been kind to ACORN. With investigations into voter registration fraud that led to the arrests of eleven employees, (with even more to come with any luck,) and with at least three branches of ACORN in three different states being caught on tape helping a “pimp” to avoid taxes and set up an underage brothel things could not get much worse for this corrupt organization. But worse it has become.

First the census bureau decided to sever its ties with ACORN and will not allow the organization to try to influence congressional representation and now the senate has followed suit and voted to cut off ACORN’s funding.

The vote was a whopping 83-7 in favor of cutting ACORN’s funding. Finally justice is being served to this criminal organization. I can only hope that the recent events will spur continued investigations into ACORN’s activities, which have long been thought as being criminal. This organization has been getting away with too much for too long but it looks like the jig is up. It couldn’t have come a moment too soon.

I really, really, really, really hope our federal government, Congress, or whomever can get to ACORN does so with a very big hammer. This organization has ran rampant, doing whatsoever they please, for much too long.

More coming tomorrow! NObama will need a whole fleet if he plans to throw all of ACORN under the bus!

DOn’t you just get the feeling somewhere in the back of your mind that Eric Holder will put a stop to the investigations?

I would be totally SHOCKED if he didn’t… Birds of a feather and all that…

I find it amazing that 2 twenty year olds have ACORN running! ha! Even if funding is stopped, cutoff – I have to admit I don’t think that is enough. There tentacles appear to be intertwined in so many things. Heck, even our President has direct ties with them.

I do find it heartening, however, that their house of cards may be collapsing! :-)

BTW, I so agree with Larry on this one!

I’m waiting for those 83 senators to be called racist for denying funds to such a fine predominately black organization. Its coming!!

Ya know, you may be on to something quite useful here… They were ALL white, Burris is the only Black in Senate I believe and he voted FOR…

      The U.S. Senate is RACIST… I’ll be damned…

I am sure that we will hear some whispers of racism here. It is all that they have to fall back on.
