The EPA makes its move on implementing cap and trade through dictate

  The FCC has already made its move–bypassing the Congress and a court ruling which stated they did not have the authority to regulate the internet–and has moved to expand its authority into the business of regulating the internet and the EPA is also in the process of promoting Barack Obama’s agenda through dictate. In the case of the EPA, they are moving forward with a plan to implement Barack Obama’s cap and trade policy because the Congress was unable to pass these burdensome regulations.

  The EPA’s situation differs slightly from the FCC’s situation because the John Robert’s Supreme Court has already ruled that the EPA does have the authority to regulate greenhouse gases, but in my opinion this is no less of an affront to our liberties and no less offensive because the end result will be the fact that a government agency will be implementing the president’s policy without the legislation moving forward using the only procedure set forth in the constitution.

  Barack Obama supports this move by the EPA because in his opinion the end justifies the means and if it takes a dictate to implement his policies he has no concern about the fact that the constitution is supposed to be a limiting document that assures the federal government does not get too powerful. Shortly after the cap and trade legislation failed in the Congress Barack Obama stated that while he was disappointed in the result “there was more than one way to skin a cat.” So he and the EPA moved on to Plan B–bypassing the Congress and forcing his will on an unwilling American people.

  The EPA has now announced that they are stepping up the effort and will be clamping down on power plants and oil refineries in an attempt to force these companies to comply with cap and trade legislation that has yet to be implemented. And so it begins because–as the article I linked to states–we can expect this type of action over the next two years as Barack Obama now has a Congress that is even more hostile to his liberty stealing agenda. There will be no limit to what this president can accomplish if we allow him to ignore the constitution.

  The FCC and the EPA are now actively moving to bypass the Congress and the constitution, and this will only be the beginning as Barack Obama continues his power grab. Between government agencies attacking the constitution and the likely scenario that amnesty for illegals–as well as other controversial issues–will be passed through executive order instead of the Congress we could see an erosion of rights and liberties in a manner in which the American people have never witnessed before, and it will happen so quickly that most Americans will wonder how we let this happen.

  We are entering new times in this nation and they are dangerous times because we now have a president who is willing to do whatever it takes to pass his agenda–even if it means throwing away the constitution. There will be no limit to the damage America could incur if we allow the FCC and the EPA to be succesful in their efforts. This is just the beginning, we have got to hold on for two more years, but I am not sure the Congress has the power to stop this man. We have got to try however, because the stakes are too high.
