Video: Ronald Reagan’s 1984 Memorial Day speech–The Unknown Soldier

May 30, 2011

I found the following video over at The Reaganite Republican and I just had to share it here as well. It is a video of Ronald Reagan’s Memorial Day speech from 1984 where he gives the Congressional Medal of Honor to an unknown soldier whose body was recently recovered in the fields of Vietnam.

I found it to be a truly powerful speech and video and I think that you will as well.

Some how I missed that original speech. Than you, Steve for sharing the video. Reagan was a remarkable man in many ways. Not perfect but then, who is?

Most of us never really appreciated what he did for us. I know I didn’t.

I was still to young to understand that this man represented so I did not appreciate him as I now do.
