Debbie Wasserman Schultz had overseas investments and Nancy Pelosi made millions investing overseas

July 11, 2012

The charming woman with the dazzling and cute smile–Debbie Wasserman Schultz–recently attacked Mitt Romney for outsourcing jobs during his tenure at Bain and for investments he has made overseas, going so far as to say it would be nice if he was “committed to America.”

This of course is part of the left’s plan of dividing Americans along class lines to hold onto power–the age old proletariat versus the bourgeoise plan which has been implemented with great success (for the ruling class, those who were the ruled didn’t make out so well) in Europe in the past.

Here is what Schultz had to say about Mitt Romney:

Mitt Romney needs to come clean and release multiple years of his tax returns so we can see why he invested in a Bermuda corporation and transferred it to his wife’s name the day before he became Governor of Massachusetts.
So we can see why he’s invested in Swiss bank accounts and accounts in the Cayman Islands. And you know, we also need to know why does — what is the allure of investments out of the country. When he headed up Bain Capital, he was a pioneer in outsourcing and shipped jobs overseas.
It would be nice if we had a candidate for president who was committed to America. Mitt Romney is committed to making sure that either he makes the most money as humanly possible, or his investors do. And that’s evidenced by his track record in shipping jobs overseas and making sure that he has investments that we don’t know why he invested in offshore accounts. But most folks that I know, they make their investments in a bank in America, most American business men invest here and if you’re running for president, that certainly should be your commitment

As head of the DNC Debbie Wasserman Schultz is navigating the path which the rest of the party is expected to follow, so perhaps she should have made sure the Democrats’ houses were in order before she went on the attack. Shortly after she made these statements we learned that Mitt Romney was no longer at Bain when the jobs in question were outsourced, and in fact Barack Obama had used $29 billion in stimulus money to outsource jobs and make investments overseas.

Even if it were true that Mitt Romney outsourced jobs at least it would have been with private money whereas Barack Obama actually used OUR money to invest overseas and that is much worse. So if a person running for president should be committed to America–and he should be–doesn’t that mean a sitting president should also be committed to America? Using Schulz’s own criteria this means Barack Obama was not putting America first.

But the news gets even worse for Debbie Wasserman Schultz today, because we learned that she has also profited from making investments overseas, including Swiss bank accounts:

Disclosure forms reveal that Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a member of Congress from Florida, previously held funds with investments in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, and the state bank of India

Granted, at an investment somewhere between $1,ooo and $15,ooo the investment probably pales in comparison to the money we are talking about Mitt Romney investing, but the intent is still the same; make as much money as humanly possible, to use Schulz’s own words, why else would she make these investments? Doesn’t this show a certain non-committal to America?

Oh, and by the way, Debbie Wasserman Schultz also refuses to release her tax returns. As head of the DNC shouldn’t she also strive for the same type of transparency and America first attitude she demands of Republican presidential candidates? Surely she has failed based on the same standards she herself set for Mitt Romney.

But the news gets better still: The former Speaker of the House and current Democrat Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi, earned somewhere between $1 million and$5 million investing in Asia LAST YEAR! If a man who hopes to be president should not be focused on “making as much money as humanly possible” and should be focused on putting America first  should not the same be expected of a Democrat who currently holds such a high position of power?  Obviously Nancy Pelosi was not committed to America but only on personal gain if we are to use Schulz’s measuring stick.

And it doesn’t end there because, as I just learned at Bunkerville, White House advisor Valerie Jarrett–the woman whom is putting more public policy in place than most people care to admit–has a line of credit in Bermuda. Is this not yet another example of a Democrat in a high  place not being committed to America?

As this becomes a campaign issue moving forward I expect to hear about more examples of Democrats who simply aren’t living up to the same standards they expect Mitt Romney to live up to but that will not stop them from attacking Mitt Romney for doing the same things they are doing themselves, because as I said above, this is about pitting the proletariat against the bourgeoise and we all know that the end justifies the means to the type of people who hold these type of political beliefs.

Repeat a lie long enough and it becomes the truth…..

Obama outsourced $500 million in Fisk Motors in Finland and how many millions in solar panel jobs in Mexico and as you say, he did that with our money.

The worse part of that is the fact it was our money, he has some gall to attack ROmney on this issue, doesn’t he?

Thanks for the mention and you did a great expose of dear Nan. If Valerie has a line of credit from Bermuda, anyone want to guess she has big bucks off shore??

No problem Bunkerville. I am sure this is just the beginning and hopefully there will be a little more digging into Jarrett, and all the other Democrats for that matter.

Owning stock in a Swiss bank is not the same as stashing money is a numbered Swiss bank account. You know that, right?

Yep, but they were complaining about Romney investing overseas also and that is what these people were doing also.

Steve, you have made a basic mistake with this. You are trying to hold the Democrats accountable to the same standards they try to hold everyone else with. Don’t you know you can’t do that? It just doesn’t work that way.

I take the “dazzling and cute smile” comment was a joke?

Yeah, it was the way Obama once described her and no woman’s groups spoke out against the way be objectified her.
