The Bob Menendez sex scandal and media bias
If you have been reading America’s Watchtower for any length of time you have heard me refer to the MSM as the propaganda arm of the Obama regime and there was never a more glaring example of what I mean than the story of Senator Bob Menendez, or should I say the none story because that is how the media has treated it from the beginning.
News first surfaced at The Daily Caller shortly before the election that Bob Menendez had been frequenting prostitutes in the Dominican Republic for years, this was an accusation which the Senator denied and the media instead of investigating and reporting on the scandal remained silent.
Perhaps the MSM should have looked into this because as it turns out the FBI had in fact been investigating Menendez for frequenting underage prostitutes in 2012. But because of the media silence the FBI was able to delay arresting his illegal alien intern until after the election to protect his reelection prospects at the behest of the Department of Homeland Security.
All of this has come to light after the election and now the office of his doctor, and Democrat donor who also donated to Bill Nelson Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Joe Garcia, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and Mario Diaz-Balart, has been raided by the FBI. Yet the media still remains silent. Where there is smoke there is fire.
This is in stark contrast to the coverage the media gave to the disgusting acts of Republicans Mark Foley and Larry Craig, or to the moronic statements on abortion and rape made by Republican hopeful Troy Akin. Then sex scandals were important, now not so much.
And of course the media has been deeply involved in the rehabilitating of Bill Clinton’s legacy and image. Is there any doubt now as to why I call the MSM the propaganda arm of the Democrat party and of Barack Obama? I didn’t think so…..

And he is slated to chair the foreign relations committee since Kerry had moved forward as sec of state. Wow, we are really sailing on this one.

This is no bull: I went to high school with Menendez’ future wife Janey in Union City, NJ while this future possibly violator of the Mann Act went to the other high school in town. It was obvious to me while in his company and in his house on several occasions that he was a sleaze bag in training. Once he gained his first political office as Mayor of Union City he wasted no time in showing his true colors. An opportunist of the first degree he had set out on what was and continues to be a path of sleaze. He used his ethnicity to build a political base in the typical democrat way: that is freebies and opportunities available to those who voted correctly in addition to having the qualifying accent. It may prove to be a non-issue to the voters of NJ if he is found to be playing hide the sausage with under age girls. Additionally, who is going to dare prosecute a member of the Obama mafia? The only people not in his corner are the true Fidel & Commie hating conservative Cubans of Hudson County, NJ. Do not be surprised that if Obama fails to become dictator for life that this piece of human debris sits in the Oval Office one day. He is that slick and the electorate is that unsophisticated.

And now he is considered to be one of the most corrupt politicians in the Senate. If voters didn’t care about that they probably won’t care about this either. He will probably get away with this!

BJ’s in the Oval Office and now tiny hiney in the mile high club. These guys know how to kick back at end of a long day of doing nothing. Still my favorite passed over by the MSM was the waitress sandwich made by those two often intoxicated senators Dodd and Kennedy.

As I’m sure you know Z, politicians don’t change although they may change their M O for expedient’s sake and self preservation. Lautenberg and Menendez with diametrically opposed roots are exactly the same as was John Corzine. The only surprise was the voters of NJ actually threw the bum out. One can only hope if elected Booker will actually have NJ’s best interests as his priority…. I for one would not count on it .

I’m glad you wrote about this. I was going to but it seems like yelling into an empty room… you look at the amount of coverage given to Larry Craig versus this (or even the Secret Service hooker scandal) and there is simply no question about the bias inherent in the press.
This type of thing makes me sick.

I hear what you are saying about yelling into an empty room, that is why I ignored it for as long as I could. It finally got to the point where I had to write about it! The MSM is no longer interested in reporting the news but rather in spinning the news.

“An escort who appeared on a video claiming that Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) paid her for sex has told Dominican authorities that she was instead paid to make up the claims and has never met or seen the senator, according to court documents and two people briefed on her claim.
“The woman said a local lawyer had approached her and a fellow escort and asked them to help frame Menendez and a top donor, Salomon Melgen, according to affidavits obtained by The Washington Post.
“FBI agents conducting interviews in the Dominican Republic have found no evidence to back up the tipster’s allegations, according to two people briefed on their work.
“Menendez has denied the prostitution claims, saying they were made by enemies trying to undermine him as he sought reelection in the fall and became chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee this year.
“Daily Caller Editor Tucker Carlson did not reply to phone calls and e-mails requesting comment.
“Melgen’s lawyer and allies in the Dominican Republic charged Monday that the video “confession” had been fabricated to tarnish Menendez as well as Melgen and his family. Melgen’s lawyer Kirk Ogrosky said his client was gratified to see local police unearthing “this campaign of lies.”
“Dr. Melgen is hopeful that the appropriate authorities will identify and prosecute the people who are responsible,” Ogrosky said. “As he has maintained from day one, Dr. Melgen has been cooperating with authorities in every way possible and he denies any wrongdoing.”
