Barack Obama targeted drone strike kills 16 year old boy…..why?

February 5, 2013

I have written about the Obama’ regime’s use of drones to kill Anwar al-Awlaki, a radicalized American citizen who was living in Yemen, and my conflicted feelings about this killing a couple of times in the past; the most recent being earlier today when I wrote about the Obama regime’s defense for killing American citizens.

The most troubling aspect of this defense is the Obama regime’s assertion that it needs no proof that the American target is plotting against the United States.

The condition that an operational  leader present an ‘imminent’ threat of violent attack against the United States does not require the United States to have clear evidence that a specific attack on U.S. persons and interests will take place in the immediate future

Which leads us to this story: Several weeks after killing Anwar al-Awlaki the Obama regime targeted his 16 year old son, and Denver resident, killing him as he was eating at a restaurant. His crime? Apparently just being the son of Anwar al-Awlaki, here is what Robert Gibbs had to say about the killing when he was asked about it last October:

I would suggest that you should have a far more responsible father if they are truly concerned about the well-being of their children

Simply being the son of a despicable human being now makes you a legitimate target of the Obama regime even if there are no charges against you and without due process. Barack Obama is now the judge, the jury, and the executioner. If Barack Obama had a legitimate reason for ordering the drone strike against this child he needs to explain it to the American people NOW!

It’s not all that different than the idea of “thought police”, is it? This is a very slippery and dangerous slope. American citizenship use to mean something. Now?

That is exactly what it is like. Suddenly the government is determining who MIGHT commit a crime and are acting on it?

This is the kind of stuff that makes me upset. The moral grandstanding by Liberals – and Obama – all thrown out the window.

Obama is for blowing up Americans via drones but also wants civilian trials for jihadist terrorists?

Is this some kind of a sick joke??

This means that other countries have the same rights to target as well those they believe are a threat. Do we want China, Iran and North Korea sending drones around the world and killing willy nilley? The precendent has been set.

A scary thought indeed, but if you are one of the countries we have been doing this to is it unseasonable to think they feel justified in doing the same? I don’t think so.

The longer this administration is in power, the worse it will get. We know what they are doing, but the average person does NOT. To target someone because they “suspect” is very scarey, isn’t it? Pretty soon, we will all be afraid to voice any negative comments, at that point our First amendment rights are done. Guess it will be “be careful who you talk to” they might turn you in. That might have sounded silly a few years back, but now????

Think of it this way: this is as good as it gets, it only gets worse from here. Now that is a scary thought, isn’t it?
Sadly you are right; too many Americans don’t even see what is going on.

Maybe you should try a little reading comprehension.

The term ” a radicalized American citizen who was living in Yemen” is translated to TERRORIST. Or do you actually have a problem with killing terrorists?

You are only about a year late to this topic but thank you, I will take your advice under advisement.

The drone killings have become some commonplace it’s like the ultimate depersonalization.

Dems kill you with machines before you’re born and after, apparently.

You’ve got that right! And using these drones is more like playing a video game than playing with peoples lives.

Harrison, “Dems kill you with machines before you’re born and after, apparently,” truer words have never been spoken. This whole administration has just gone nuts, with power! Every day is more head shaking that the previous one. At what point do the people finally say ENOUGH? I just don’t see the anger that should be happening and that in and of itself is scarey!

I think the reason more people are shouting about this is because people aren’t paying attention and of course the media is silent.
