Nancy Pelosi on Congressional pay cuts: It undermines the dignity of the job
How many times over the last four plus years have we heard politicians such as Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi state that we ALL must sacrifice for the greater good of the nation? We have heard this time and time again and of course we all know when the Democrats talk about sacrifice they are talking about the American people paying higher taxes.
It has been suggested that the Congress should put their money where their mouths are and take a pay cut; what better way for these ruling class elitists to show they are willing to make the same sacrifices they are asking the American people to make?
Nancy Pelosi doesn’t see it that way.
Here is what she had to say when asked about taking a pay cut:
I don’t think we should do it; I think we should respect the work we do,” Pelosi told reporters in the Capitol. “I think it’s necessary for us to have the dignity of the job that we have rewarded
She thinks that if the Congress takes a pay cut it means the Congress will not be respected for the work they do and she thinks it is undignified not to be compensated in manner commensurate with the position.
That is rich, don’t you think? By asking the job creators to pay more in taxes is that not a pay cut? After all these people will be taking home less money and that is a pay cut in my opinion. Is that not disrespecting the work these people do and is it not taking away from the rewards of their jobs?
In my opinion this tells us everything we need to know about the ruling class elite: They honestly believe there is no job more noble, just, or important as being in the government, overseeing and ruling the Kulaks and the proletariats even though the government creates no jobs and contributes nothing to the economy while those they seek to punish are contributing and necessary members of society and the economy.

Someone needs to hold Pelosi’s nose if she goes out in the rain. She has it stuck so far in the air, she is certain to drown if it rains. I’ll give her this, she has a lot of nerve to be talking about the dignity of the job they do. That is really rich.

I like that line Larry! These people must believe they are the only ones that deserve to keep what they make, we are only here to serve them. They have it backwards.

The woman is so clueless about the “real world” that she has no business being in politics. It brings to mind the real definition of politics — poly (meaning many) and tics (blood sucking parasites), of which she is one of the worst since she believes the garbage she spews. For instance? “We have to pass the (Obamacare) bill so that we can find out what’s in it.” Isn’t this bordering on insanity?

This is why we don’t need rich people in office. It’s so easy to say, “everyone has to do their share” when you’re sitting on millions knowing full well you’re going to be having caviar for breakfast even if they raise taxes 25% So detached from reality.

Another contradiction of terms, congress and dignity, ranking right up there with Obama and jobs. The poor slobs cleaning their toilets at minimum wage, even though their jobs are more important than that of congress, now that’s a loss of dignity.

Most of these politicians couldn’t run a roadside vegetable stand and make a profit and they think they deserve $176,000 a year for doing the miserable job of running the country that they are doing?! What madness! They are parasites on the working people of this country.
Congress has passed regulations that will add $138 billion to the cost of doing business in the country this year. Who will eventually end up paying this randsom? We the taxpayers will.
Liberals like pelosi and obummer will eventually destroy this country.

As beautiful as California is, and I have been all over that state, I know it’s beautiful, people like Pelosi and those that elect such a cretin, take more away from Cali than they will EVER contribute…
Pelosi is so out of touch with reality, they seriously need to put the old bat in a *home* somewhere, put *Depends* on her, place her in a chair, strap her in, set her in a corner somewhere and feed her with a slingshot…
