Barack Obama’s Education Secretary caught lying about sequestration teacher layoffs
For about two weeks now Barack Obama has been engaged in a fear-mongering, propaganda war against the looming sequestration cuts that he supported and once promised to veto any attempt to reverse.
We have heard everything from Social Security and welfare being cut, 800,ooo layoffs at the Pentagon if sequestration is allowed to happen, air traffic controllers and first responders being laid off, as well as people starving on the streets, border security being cut and an increased risk at a terrorist attack at home all because there is a scheduled 2% cut to the rate of increase in the federal government (I would say budget but there is none.) Rand Paul said it best when he said only in Washington can a spending increase be considered a spending decrease.
Then yesterday, in a blatant attempt to scare people on the right into supporting the repeal of sequestration, the Obama regime released hundreds of illegal aliens and blamed the looming budget cuts and promised there would be more to come if sequestration is allowed to happen.
And then over the weekend Barack Obama’s Education Secretary, Arne Duncan, went of “Face the Nation” and made the claim that teachers are already being laid off in anticipation of the sequester:
There are literally teachers now who are getting pink slips, who are getting notices that they can’t come back this fall
He said “literally” teachers are already feeling the effects of sequester, not theoretically or potentially but when pressed on this the next day he admitted he didn’t know if the layoffs he was citing had anything to do with the sequester and it turns out they do not.
The major impact is not so much sequestration,” she said. “Those five or six jobs would already be gone regardless of sequestration
And the kicker is the fact that the Obama regime is actually responsible for these layoffs:
In addition, the county notified all of its Head Start teachers that they may be out of a job, not because of sequestration, but because the Obama administration had recently labeled the Kanawha County program “deficient”, a designation that requires it to compete for funding instead of getting an automatic renewal.
All of the current rhetoric we are hearing from the Obama regime is nothing more than threats if you ask me and I am tired of this regime and their there-is-always-a-crisis policy of governance.
In 2010 Barack Obama created the Simpson-Bowles commission to find ways to cut the deficit and they found a way to trim $1 trillion but that report was rejected and now we can’t even find a way to absorb an $85 billion cut in the rate of growth? Instead we are hearing all these end of the world scenarios coming from the White House. I declare bullshit!
If the United States cannot tolerate a 2% cut in the rate of growth than how are we to ever have any spending cuts?

Every United States bureaucratic agencies, bureaus and commissions have expanded in size in size, power, employees, regulating, taxin and spending from day 1 of Obama’s first day in office a little over 4 years ago. The National Debt has been increased near 7 trillion dollars in that same period of time. When the Obama Regime took the reins in January 2009, the total national debt accumulated over the past 29 years since Reagan’s first term, was about 9 trillion, which was also totally outrageous, given the fact that when Reagan took office, the entire national debt accumulation for the first 200 plus years of this country’s founding was less than one trillion dollars. The Reagan Administration started the debt rise, but it was due to the agencies such as the United States Department of Education which Jimmy Carter created as a gift to the Marxist National Teacher Union’s who supported his Marxist Campaign in 1976. The Obama Regime is robbing this country blind and handing over trillions of dollars to our enemies and to the major Multi-National Corporations who now run and control this nation. They are robbing us blind, and it is not incidental. This is being purposely done, and the Republican Party are part of this Sham and Thievery. It is time for True American Conservatives and Patriots to take this country back from the Deal Brokers like Karl Rove and David Axelrod.

Yup! Rand Paul sad it right. Do you think MSNBC will tell their listeners the truth? Of course not. We are going to learn, once and for all, if the Republicans are really any different than the Democrats.

We knew the second term was going to be bad. But I thought he would go about it cleverly. Instead it is blunt force trauma. That is how I feel. He is bludgeoning us.

I think the time we had to stop this downhill spiral was at this last election. Either people were too busy to listen OR they just didn’t care OR didn’t believe it, but I think we have run out of time now. Unless something miraculous happens I think the Republican party is done as is the country. We have allowed this to happen and now it is coming back to bite us in the butt. This administration is immune to any blowback that might come their way. I am so hoping that Woodword being threatened “might” just be that straw that broke the camels back, guess we will see. Each time a new issue comes up that looks promising, it loses steam and we wait for the next one to surface. I think that people are just tired of nothing happening and they are just going along in their lives the best they can. We survive with what we have and it is getting slowly taken from us. I know there has to be a breaking point, but when it will be and what will do it, I don’t have a clue. It seems that so many of the issues should have been bad for this administration and nothing ever comes from it. That Mr. Duncan can say what he does is not suprising. There are those that will hear it and not question it any further. This administion is counting on that and they have not been disappointed so far. Makes you sick, doesn’t it????

I agree Lou, we missed our chance to stop this madness at the last election because people want to believe everything is okay and they don’t want to face the truth. Sometimes people have to see it to believe it and we are all about to feel it, I just hope it isn’t too late!
