Barack Obama “walks back” his fear mongering campaign on the eve of sequester Part 2
For two weeks Barack Obama has been spreading an economic apocalyptic vision of hell-fire and brimstone if his idea of sequestration is allowed to come to pass. But it turns out that there will be no pale horse to behold and the seven seals will remain unbroken for the time being.
Because Barack Obama now realizes that the Republicans are not going to cave for once and the sequester will happen, and people will wake up tomorrow and realize there will be no sequestageddon, he has been forced to walk back his previous fear mongering propaganda campaign in an effort to save face.
After his breakfast with Congressional leaders this morning Barack Obama continued to walk back his apocalyptic vision of the future:
We will get through this,” Obama told reporters after meeting with congressional leaders at the White House. ”This is not going to be an apocalypse I think, as some people said. It’s just dumb. It’s going to hurt. … But if Congress comes to its senses, then there’s a lot of open running room to grow our economy fairly quickly
My only question is this: Why does Barack Obama have a problem with a little pain? After all, hasn’t he been telling us for years that we all must sacrifice a little bit if we want the economy to turn around? If you ask me it looks as if Barack Obama has gotten what we wanted all along and he is now trying to distance himself from his own policies.
