Joe Biden’s niece voted in New Hampshire but lives in New York

July 24, 2013

Here in New Hampshire we have pretty lenient rules when it comes to deciding who is eligible to vote in the state. Non-resident students who are attending school in the state are allowed to vote in New Hampshire , as are those who declare New Hampshire as a domicile even if they have a residence in another state.

The rules for applying for domicile status are pretty vague and are open to liberal interpretation:

According to the Secretary of State’s Office, the law allows a pretty wide interpretation of who’s eligible to vote. Deputy Secretary of State Dave Scanlan said that in theory, a person could move into the state a day before an election, establish domicile in the state, vote and then leave the next day.

As you can see this makes the New Hampshire law ripe for abuse when a person can “live” in the state the day before and the day after the election and have the right to vote in the state.

And abused it was and by non other than the niece of Joe Biden and seven others who were working on Barack Obama’s reelection campaign in New Hampshire. Alana Biden, and her seven as of yet unnamed “coworkers,” set up a residence at Democrat Martha Fuller Clark’s house in order to work for Barack Obama. Shortly after voting in New Hampshire these eight people left the state to go back to the states they actually live in. Whether or not these people actually stayed with Ms. Clark is unknown, I doubt it but we will have to take their word for it at this point.

As Martha Fuller Clark states below, the state had to take their word for it when they applied for domicile status:

By and large, the young people who stayed with me were committed to New Hampshire, but given their age, whether they intended to stay is impossible to predict

Let’s face it, Fuller Clark knew what was going on, and with her silence condoned it, but the law protected her and the eight campaign workers so there isn’t much that can be done about it.

Unless these people went home on election day and also voted in the states they really live in, or cast absentee ballots in those states, there was no voter fraud committed. While technically no crime was likely committed, it was intellectually and morally wrong, and just plain dishonest, for this was done for purely political reasons.

New Hampshire was a closely contested race and the state was also considered a crucial battleground state, New York, where Alana Biden actually resides, was not. She made the political calculation, and I would guess at the behest of Barack Obama, that her vote would be more needed in New Hampshire than in New York and so she, and probably the seven others as well, gamed the system and helped the president win this crucial state.

The fact that such a highly connected Democrat in the Obama regime, with the help of a highly connected Democrat in the state of New Hampshire, was willing to bend the rules to help Barack Obama win reelection is troubling because it proves something I have been saying for awhile–Barack Obama and the Democrats will do anything it takes to win and keep their power.

It is time for New Hampshire to revisit this law along with the same day voter registration law in order to ensure that the political system in our state is not abused like this again. I am sure this is not the only case of abuse in New Hampshire during the 2012 election, but this is the most high profile of all of the cases and it shows us that something needs to change if we want to protect the integrity of the vote.

No es problemo hombre! She need only declare she is an illegal from south of the border and she should have no problem voting early and often wherever she chooses. Who in these United States would dare challenge a prospective voter and risk the scarlet letter “R”? A white democratic is the next best thing to being a white Hispanic.

Yeah, she didn’t think this through all the way or she would have been able to vote more than once…..if she didn’t.

Living in a university town, I’ve often thought that the students could easily be voting twice; in that Democrats seem to not see a conflict in doing so, but Republicans do, it is an inherenttly unfair system and to vote twice, even if it’s in two different states, it ought to be against the law …. Likely that Democrats will agree? Not on a bet!
So the outcome is that those w/o morals or better said … the amoral win ….

There is no doubt in my mind that many of these college students are voting in more than once state and the scary part is they do not seem to think there is anything wrong with doing this.

The Dems and their phoney campaign against voter registration laws. It has nothing to do with minorities and everything to do with manipulating elections. It makes you wonder how many Mass Dem voters cross over to vote in NH. It would seem like enough to affect an election and its electoral college votes. A few votes here and a few votes there. Thugocracy at its finest!

There is no doubt there are many Ma. voters who cross the line to vote as a result of our same day voter registration and you are right, this is not about stifling minorities it is about the credibility of the elections.

Someone should check to see if she and the others also voted absentee in their home states.

simple solution..use the laws against them. I’m sure there are plenty of MA residents who would like a friendlier neighbor to the north that was a lot less like the place they hang their hat.

we use the examples laid out in front of us. we use them till the other side screams ENOUGH and they fix it, or they’re so far out of power that WE fix it. we need each “new” NH voter to redirect a single bill, for a single month, to a friendly NH address. then go vote, using that bill as “proof of domicile”.

    “but..but..that’s unethical!”

what part of this being a war do you not understand? the otehr side has unfortunately definded the rules of the conflict.. the best we can do is use them to our advantage.

Well, why do we think they are always fighting having to show an ID to vote? You have an ID to get food stamps and benefits, but there is all the belly aching that people cannot afford the cost of an ID,,,not true, they already have one. Does this Administration ever tell the truth> Chicago has many, many people “dead” that vote, nothing to see there either. When the news covers people saying they voted more than once and it is let slide, we have a big problem, but WHO will deal with it? This Country is going downhill fast, I doubt we have until the end of Obamas term to fix it.

If the Democrats win the House in 2014 there will be nothing we can do to stop Obama and that is a very scary thought. And they will do whatever it takes, by hook or by crook, to ensure they win the House.

Coalition of NH Taxpayers first uncovered this information which was leaked to WMUR who then printed it without attribution. CNHT has been doing this for years since 2000 and has many other examples of fraud… http://www.nhteapartycoalition.org/tea/2013/07/27/voter-fraud-here-there-and-everywhere/

Thanks for the link, I am sorry that WMUR didn’t give you the proper attribution but at least the story is starting to get out there. Keep up the great work.
