Benghazi: The mother of fallen hero Sean Smith slams Barack Obama over his phony scandal comment

July 25, 2013

After ignoring the economy for five years Barack Obama has decided to refocus on it, and while doing so he has tried to lay the blame for his failures on the Congress by claiming they “took their eyes off the ball” in order to focus on “phony scandals.”

He apparently feels that the NSA gathering information on all calls and emails made and written by most Americans isn’t important, and as if using the IRS to target political opponents isn’t important and shouldn’t be questioned.

But most of all he has decided that the rape and murder of a United States ambassador, and the killing of three other Americans during a terrorist attack in Benghazi is a phony scandal. How dare the Congress try to hold his majesty accountable for his inaction during the attack!

Needless to say, this is not sitting well with the mother of Sean Smith. Sean Smith went to the defense of Chris Stevens and fought off the terrorists for seven hours while waiting for help which never came even though it was available. He was rewarded for his heroic actions with his death and his mother has not been able to get any answers from the Obama regime. To her this is not a phony scandal:

I don’t believe him anymore,” Smith said. “He’s wrong. My son is dead. How could that be phony?”

According to Smith, she has been given no answers about what happened that night. She said the administration told her she “didn’t need to know.”

“When I was there at the ceremony of the welcoming of the caskets, both Obama and Hillary and Biden and all of the other ones, all promised me they would get back to me to tell me what happened,” Smith said. “I begged them. Please, I must know what happened with my son. How come this happened? They all promised me they would get back to me. You know, not one of them, not one of them ever got back to me in any way shape or form — not by a letter, not by anything other than I got a memo stating that I didn’t need to know because I was not part of the immediate family.”

Smith made one last plea to the Obama administration explaining her desire for answers.

“How can I tell you?” Smith added. “I mean, it is wrong. It is not phony. It is not fake. My son is dead, and why is he dead? All I am waiting for even to this day is just someone to get back to me and tell me what happened. Why did Hillary do as she did? Why was there no security there when there was supposed to be? Who was the general that called back the troops when they were going to help?

Can you imagine being in her shoes, sitting at home and listening to the president’s remarks only to hear him brush off her son’s death as a phony issue? Can you imagine what she must have felt and the pain this must have brought to her after waiting so long for answers?

Barack Obama should be ashamed of himself and he owes the families of Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, Chris Stevens, and Tyrone Woods an apology. But of course he feels no shame because he had more important issues to deal with that night: he had to get a good night’s sleep in order to be prepared for a fundraiser in Nevada the following day.

  Phony? My ass…..

The only phony thing about all this is his concern! The apathetic American public are complicit in this ….. I cannot let go of that, either!

The fact that so many Americans don’t seem to care about this bothers the hell out of me as well. This should have been Obama’s undoing and it should have cost him the election and yet there he is. It is maddening!

Good rant, Steve! One of the thirty others that was seriously wounded is still in Walter Reed Hospital. His father is hoping his son will have the chance to speak out some day soon. He deserves that chance. America deseerves to hear him!

Thanks Jim. I hope we get to hear from him as well, we need to know what happened on that day and the families deserve answers.

He lies and lies again and few care. We know because of the way the record vote went down.

Nobody seems to care, this should have cost him the election. Maybe it would have if he hadn’t of conspired with Crowley during that debate, but with the MSM in his pocket in with the Republicans not making headway with this he is able to continue on as if nothing happened.

Look at the way he’s treated his own family. No surprise the way he treats others.

Well, he clearly doesn’t care, and the whole story needs to go away. Sadly, there are too many Americans prepared to let Obama off the hook for it.

I guess David Ubben wouldn’t consider Benghazi a phony scandal, He was a Diplomatic Security agent in Benghazi on the night of the attack. He is still recovering from his injuries at Walter Reed medical center in Washington, D.C., According to Fox News he is being hailed as a true American hero.

This morning’s newsclips show Obama actually sweating during one of his “Lying Tour” speeches. What immediately comes to mind is Edgar Allen Poe’s Telltale Heart. Would though it were that one day soon the jig will be up (pun intended) but let’s not hold are breath. As a people we are too stupid to know our chain is being yanked.

A great analogy but I doubt Obama thinks he will ever be called out on this. And I wonder if the American people even care.

It is a sad state of affairs when you can no longer trust your government and what the people we put there are saying. I was watching the voting on an immigration bill on C-Span 1 or 2 yesterday, not sure which, they all laugh and joke around and are not on time for the vote and come strolling in giving the thumbs up or down…I don’t know about all of you, but I would sure as hell like to see them AT THEIR ASSIGNED DESKS doing “the work of the People” for once. It appeared to be so nonchalant, nothing important, just another day, another vote. We have lost when it comes to controlling anyone we put there…I do not think they listen much to us, we are of no use to them until they need to be re-elected. Am I the only one that feels this way? There are a handful that are trying to make a difference and the Republican party is fighting them tooth and nail and coming out against them for even wanting to make things right in our government.
As for Mrs. Smith, I would be right where she is, wanting to know just what the hell happened and wanting answers…she deserves answers. We expect our government to cover for our men and women that are sent overseas, “someone” dropped the ball, OR, someone was expecting this to happen, as in “planned”…well guess we may never know.

No you are not the only one who feels that way! With a few exceptions the Congress is only interested in doing what they think is best for them and they do not give a damn about the people they are supposed to represent.
