The five Republicans who could stop amnesty

January 28, 2014

Barack Obama’s poll numbers are plummeting, support for Obamacare is at an all time low and falling, he has lost his credibility because of the lie of the year, as he prepares to government by dictate 63% of the people do not trust the president to make the correct decisions, and only 3% of the people believe that immigration reform should be a top priority.

In light of all the bad news and polls surrounding the president, and immigration reform, what is the Republican leadership preparing to do? Work with Barack Obama to pass immigration reform complete with amnesty. And they wonder why their approval ratings are lower than the president’s?

While it is true that according to reports the Republican proposal would grant illegal immigrants legal status while stopping short of giving them citizenship this is still forgiving the illegals for entering the country illegally–in other words this is still amnesty.

It is quite clear, considering how most Americans think about amnesty and immigration reform that the Republican establishment is not listening to the people they are supposed to represent, but rather their corporate masters. They obviously do not give a damn about the people as long as they can please their masters and keep the campaign donations flowing in.

Fox News Latino (I know what you are thinking, I feel the same way) is reporting that the fate of amnesty might just come down to five House Republicans. They are Jason Chaffetz, Trey Gowdy, Justin Amash, Renee Ellmers, and Steve Scalise. Why does Fox News Latino think that these are the five key members of the House? This is why:

These lawmakers are likely to look to conservative peers – not lobby groups or the GOP establishment – for cues on how to move on the immigration issue, the publication said.

They might actually listen to their constituents, what a radical idea! The battle lines between the Republican establishment and the Tea Party Republicans have been drawn in this fight, there are precious few votes remaining which could decide the fate of amnesty.

If these five Republicans listen to the voters it is possible John Boehner’s push for amnesty will fail, but if they get rolled there is a very real likelihood amnesty will pass the House and then it is only a matter of time before this battle is lost.

It is interesting to note here that several states are now debating the issue of giving driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. One such state is Massachusetts, and Massachusetts just happens to have a motor/voter registration law. Why do you think they are pushing for this legislation? It is obvious to me, and I think you know the reason as well.

We cannot take this lying down! Call and write these five Representatives, especially of you are one of their constituents, and let them know how you feel about this legislation. The fate of the republic could be dependent on it!

Just more evidence on why the GOP is called the Stupid Party. Amesty for 25 to 30 million illegal immigrants will keep the Democrats in power forever! I choose to live in a Banana Republic. I don’t think that is what most Americans want for themselves.

Just when it looks like they could win in 2014 they decide to throw it all away. Typical!

Come on now give the R’s a break. They are aligned with and in the hip pocket of the cheap-labor corporates and are only doing what they’re paid to do. They will be wise to change sides if amnesty becomes a reality. Surely these hoards I’d new “Americans “will register as democrats while signing up for their entitlements.

Of course once amnesty passes and they change sides it will be too late to save the country. There is no doubt they are following what their special interests are telling them to do and they are doing it even though it will hurt the people. They do not care about us.
