Eric Holder to investigate “racist” parade float

July 13, 2014

Eric Holder’s Department of Injustice has not seen any reason to investigate Dianne Feinstein’s allegations that the CIA illegally accessed the Senate Intelligence Committee’s computers, the NSA spying scandal, the IRS targeting scandal, and the Black Panthers voter intimidation case–to name just a few off the top of my head–but just when it seems as if there is nothing the top law enforcement agent in the country is willing to investigate Eric Holder has finally found a worthy cause.

During an Independence Day parade in Nebraska there was a parade float with a caricature of Barack Obama standing in front of an out-house. The out-house was labeled as Barack Obama’s presidential library.

Here is a picture of the offending float:

The Democratic leadership in Nebraska immediately called the float one of the “worst shows of racism and disrespect for the office of the presidency that Nebraska has ever seen.”

How this is racist I am not sure; it is clearly intended to show what the creators of the float feel about Barack Obama’s policies and has nothing to do with his skin color. Is it disrespectful of the office? Yes, but since when does the first amendment only protect non-offensive speech?

But apparently Eric Holder feels differently: he has announced he will be sending a team to Nebraska to investigate the parade float.

The U.S. Department of Justice has sent a member of its Community Relations Service team to investigate a Nebraska parade float that criticized President Obama.

A Fourth of July parade float featured at the annual Independence Day parade in Norfolk sparked criticism when it depicted a zombie-like figure resembling Mr. Obama standing outside an outhouse, which was labeled the “Obama Presidential Library.”

The Omaha World-Herald reported Friday that the Department of Justice sent a CRS member who handles discrimination disputes to a Thursday meeting about the issue.

Also at the meeting were the NAACP, Norfolk mayor Sue Fuchtman and the Norfolk Odd Fellows, which coordinated the parade.

So, if I am reading this situation correctly, the Federal government can target its political opponents using the might of the IRS and that is not worthy of an investigation, but when political opponents dare to criticize the president it cannot be tolerated and must be investigated.

Somehow I do not think that was what the Founders had in mind when they wrote the first amendment…

You need to think about this and let it sink in: the Department of Injustice is investigating, and could prosecute, somebody just for opposing the president. If that does not send a chill down your spine I don’t know what will.

“… the Department of Injustice is investigating, and could prosecute, somebody just for opposing the president. ”

The investigation is because it is opposition to a “black” president. So, who is the racist in this investigation? The float builder or Eric Holder?

I am baffled, also, Steve. What is racist about it? Disrespectful, yes. So are a lot of things about this president – on his part, his opponents’ part, his opponents’ part.

Oh, and it is absurd. What are people thinking?? Or, should that be why are so many people NOT thinking???

    🙂

I can’t figure out for the life of me what is racist about this, other than the fact this is a convenient excuse to attack those who oppose the president.

So what if it *was* racist! Being racist isn’t a crime.

In America one is (supposedly) free to think one’s own race superior (as, for instance most Japanese, Koreans and Chinese routinely do and will admit if you ask them), or that certain other races are inferior.

These views may be out of fashion, disrespectful, ignorant or wrong. But they are not illegal, and merit any investigation, anymore than the Amish believing that the Amish religion is superior to all others.

Holder is such a freaking clown!

Hmmm, I wonder if this has anything to do with a certain rodeo clown in Missouri?

I wish I could have been there to see this! And to CHEER IT ON! Then to give congrats to these comic geniuses and artisans who came up with the idea and worked on it!

That Holder would have this investigated by his office should be the real and only “crime” here, as this is NOT a crime or anything else for that matter, deserving of any investigation. Guess he figures he’s got to “investigate SOMETHING”, as his investigators surely haven’t had much real work come their way lately! Typical leftie/progie; wants “you” to be more “tolerant”, but only according to their definitions and standards. Machiavelli was nothing compared to these jackals!

Yeah, I would have loved to have been there to see what the reaction to the float was! As far as Holder goes; it is utterly ridiculous to even think some type of crime was committed here, but that will not stop him from pushing his racist agenda.
