Thank you for telling me about this piece. I didn't know about this at all. Nice article.

I left New Hampshire years back after being born there and living there most of my life. I found the State to be backwards in their Laws, Courts, and Government. After living in Minneapolis, Minnesota for years now ...I found out that I was so right.

But, I must say you have changed my mind on one thought I had about New Hampshire. There are some intelligent ones that live there. Not all are backwards.

I live in Kingston which is in southern New Hampshire, two towns up from the Massachusetts border. An interesting little factoid (which you can read more about in my "Kingston's Claim to Fame" page in my header) is that this is the home of Josiah Bartlett, who cast the first vote for independence and was the second signer of the Declaration of Independence. He is buried right down the road from me, about one minute from my house.

Agreed Liz! Newt was taken aback by Romney when he countered Newt's attack on Freddy and Fannie and it really hurt him because it made him look like the hypocrite that he is.
Newt is the smartest man on the stage and he has no problem with trying to prove it every time he speaks but I am growing tired of it because it makes him look self-centered, egotistical, and arrogant and quite frankly this reminds me an aweful lot of Barack Obama.

So would I Jiri, but so far Fast and Furious is being ignored by our GOP contenders. It would seem that if one of them would step up and talk about this issue during the campaign that it would be a winner yet none of them have done so.

Part of me still wants to believe that this is the truth John, and I am still holding out hope that it is, but I am growing more cynical as the days wear on. Perhaps I am just growing impatient at how long this has taken, and maybe I shouldn't give up just yet.

In the end the Republicans and the Democrats, while they may differ politically, are not much different because they believe first and foremost in the government being used in ways which differ from the intent of the founders. They may have different ideologies but in the end they both belong to the cliche which is the federal government and none of the politicians can be trusted to do what is right.
