Bush’s Plan For Iraq

While we hear all these Democrats talking about how we need a plan to get out of Iraq, I notice one thing is missing. They keep saying we need to withdraw or re-deploy, none of them say we have to win. They keep saying we need an exit strategy, but none of them offers one. Their plan is to get out regardless of the consequences, we all know what happened in Vietnam after we cut and ran.

If we just withdraw or re-deploy( or more accuratly, cut and run) we will leave behind a breeding ground for terrorists.

President Bush, on the other hand has a plan, or an exit strategy, if you prefer, IT’S CALLED VICTORY. We must destroy this enemy that is committed to our destruction. If we do not complete this mission it could lead to the end or our culture as we know it.

How do you negotiate with an enemy who seeks to destroy us? Do you bargain down to only killing half of us? You can’t negotiate with them. You have to defeat them. Only then can you hope for peace.

I only hope that the next president has the courage to finish what this president started. Unfortunately, I believe the American people have grown soft, and are too passive to see this through until the end. They will vote in whomever promises to end the war immediately, regardless of the consequences. Most Americans are asleep to the true dangers our country faces, and September 11th is a distant memory.
