My Contribution To Global Warming

Well, spring is here and in New Hampshire the weather is warming up from the cold of winter. Now with the weather getting warm I started thinking. It can’t be that the only reason it’s getting warmer is because of the change of seasons. Can it?

I remember now when I think back on the winter I would start my truck and let it warm up for 15 minutes before I actually went to work. My wife did the same with her car. Once I got to work I would start the company van and let it warm up for 15 minutes before heading to the job site.

All that exhaust going into the atmosphere while the vehicles just sitting there. What was I thinking?

I also remember heating my house during the cold of winter. BIG OIL. How could I be so brazen to heat my house in the winter. Now that spring is here and the weather is warming I feel partly responsible.

I have decided that I will not warm my truck up now that it’s warming up outside. I am also going to stop heating my house now that the climate is changing.

Hopefully It won’t get too warm with summer on the way.

If I curb these behaviors now hopefully the heat of summer will start to cool down in time for winter.

That is, if my lawnmower and barbeque grill don’t screw that up also.
