President Clinton Asked To Testify At Hearing For Presidential Pardons

While the Democrats are trying to limit the president’s power to pardon convicted criminals so the president can’t pardon Libby, the Republicans have asked president Clinton to testify at the hearings. What a great move by Republicans, throw it back in the Democrats face. They don’t have the right to say who can and cannot be pardoned, yet they will get away with this, so make one of their own testify.

The only reason they don’t want Libby pardoned is that they are using his conviction to illegitimize the Iraq war. His conviction had nothing to do with the war.

Of course we know president Clinton will be wholly truthful if he testifies. RIIIIIGHT.

I hope he does testify just to see how he manages to twist his pardoning and president Bush’s potential pardoning of Libby into two completely different moral equivalents.
