Case of the ‘Flying Imams’ Prompts Congressional Action
It looks like the Democrat controlled congress might get their first piece of legislation correct.
The Rail and Public Transportation Security Act of 2007 will prevent citizens from being sued if they report suspicious activity. This is in response to the Flying Imams case where the passengers are being sued for pointing out what they thought was suspicious activity. Of course, some Democrats argued that shielding people from such lawsuits would encourage racial profiling on the part of passengers.
God forbid if you point out that all the radical Muslims or Islamo-fascists are radical Muslims or Islamo-fascists. We must call them disenchanted youths like they do in France when their country was being burned down by them.
They fact that they have to pass legislation to protect vigilant citizens is unbelievable, but that’s the world we live in when liberals are in charge. They believe you can’t legislate morality, whose to say what’s moral? Therefore, who can deside what is suspicious and what’s not?
The fact that these Imams asked for seatbelt extenders when none of them needed them. Rearranged themselves to sit in the exact order of the 9/11 hijackers. And would not respond to anyone is forgotten in this case.
In the country we live in now, with public displays of Christianity being outlawed more and more every year, if these were Christians that took out a cross on a plane and started praying the ACLU would sue them for offending non Christians on the plane. The Christians would not be able to sue anyone.
In a post 9/11 world we are asked to be more vigilant, how are you supposed to be when you will be sued for it? This is another case of political correctness gone awry. Read about the Rail and Public Safety Transportation act of 2007 here.
