Senate Bill would make Global Warming an issue of National Security

April 9, 2007

There is now a bill in the senate that would link global warming to our national security.

Now there are only two ways to pay for this.

One: take money from other areas of true national security. That does not sound like a very good idea to me. I think everybody can agree that taking money from real national security issues and applying it to global warming as national security is more than dumb. It’s dangerous.

Two: Raise more money for national security. How do we do this? I don’t think I need to give you the answer, but I will any way. MORE TAXES.

This is something that I have been posting about here for a while. The real goal of global warming is to raise your taxes. I have been saying that voluntary carbon offsets would turn into mandatory carbon taxes. But this is something I never would have imagined. Linking global warming to national security. Once it’s there who could argue against taxes for national security?

Unless, of course, you happen to be fighting radical Islam.
