Exposing the Hypocrisy of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama on the Don Imus Firing

Hillary Clinton said this about Don Imus:

 “Don Imus’ comments about them were nothing more than small-minded bigotry and coarse sexism. They showed a disregard for basic decency and were disrespectful and degrading to African-Americans and women everywhere.”

 And she is right about that. I have no problem with her coming out against Don Imus, however she recently received an $800,000 donation from a fundraiser hosted by Timbaland at his mansion.

Here are some of his lyrics, I think you will agree they are literary genius that just rolls off the tongue:

I could keep going, those lyrics are only from three songs. Does anybody else see the hypocrisy of this? Condemning one man for bigoted, anti-woman remarks while at the same time taking a rather large campaign donation from another?

I though Hillary was a feminist? Don’t these lyrics fly in the face of feminism?

 Yes, they do.

 Barack Obama, who has appeared on Imus’ show, called for Imus’ firing and also said,”but I would also say that there’s nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group.”

I don’t have a problem with that statement either. But Obama has had a meeting with Ludacris to discuss, of all things, AIDS awareness, and empowering the youth.

While this isn’t as indiscriminate as Hillary taking campaign donations from Timbaland, it may show a lack of judgement discussing AIDS awareness and empowering youth with the person who has graced us with these beautiful poetic musings:

I’m sorry for the language in this post, I usually restrain from this language no matter how I feel when I am posting, but I had to use these lyrics to illustrate my point.

While candidates berate and call for the firing if one individual, they are willing to look the other way in cetain circumstances, and even accept money from them.

 Do they think Americans aren’t paying attention and won’t notice this? Or do they just feel that American won’t care? I don’t know, but I have a feeling Americans won’t care.
