Giuliani, Romney Draw Criticism for Being Tough on Terrorism
Read about it here. Human rights groups didn’t like the fact that Mitt Romney said he would double the size of Guantanamo bay while fighting terrorism. They also didn’t like the fact that Rudy Giuliani would condone using extreme interrogating techniques if it was learned an attack was imminent. Can you picture that? Someone is about to set off a bomb or some other terrorist activity that will possibly kill hundreds of Americans on American soil, and we are supposed to be concerned with their human rights. They don’t seem to be concerned with ours, do they?
“It suggests that these guys would ignore American traditions and laws and continue policies that have severely damaged America’s moral authority,” said Tom Malinowski, Washington-based director of Human Rights Watch.
Curt Goering, deputy executive director of Amnesty International USA, said: “The pandering for votes by advocating human rights violations represents the worst by American politicians.”
I hate to admit it, but maybe Harry Reid was right. Maybe the war is lost, not for the reasons Harry Reid believes, but because we just are not going to be allowed to fight a war without one hand tied behind our back.
