Vermont Activists want to Secede from the USA
They want Vermont to secede from the United States — peacefully, of course.Disillusioned by what they call an empire about to fall, a small cadre of writers and academics is plotting political strategy and planting the seeds of separatism.
They’ve published a “Green Mountain Manifesto” subtitled “Why and How Tiny Vermont Might Help Save America From Itself by Seceding from the Union.” They hope to put the question before citizens at Town Meeting Day next March, eventually persuading the state Legislature to declare independence, returning Vermont to the status it held from 1777 to 1791.

I have only one thing to say to all Vermont residents who would want to stay in the USA if Vermont were ever to pull of this ridiculous idea. Actually it’s a plee. Please flee to Massachusetts and not New Hampshire. We already have enough of your refugees here screwing up our state. Besides we are new to the nanny state, Massachusetts has it down pat, you would be more comfortable there.

I don’t know what is going on. Here in New Hampshire we have always had a good checks and balances system. We have had Republican and Democrat governors over the years.
We have always managed to hold of the liberal big government agenda that has captured the other states up here.
We have had an influx of liberals from Ma. and Vermont who are trying to excape it also, however they bring their politics here not realizing that their politics are what caused their problems in the first place. So they don’t change their voting habits. That, coupled with a disdain for the Iraq war caused many Democrats to punch straite ticket ballots that ousted many conservatives in the state government.
The biginning of the end for us here in New Hampshire.
In a nutshell, that is what happened in New Hampshire.
I can’t tell you what the hell is going on in Vermont though, I don’t follow them closely enough. I just know they are bordering on insanity.
