Banning Water Coolers in San Francisco to Stop Global Warming

It seems like every time a post about global warming I say now I’ve heard it all. And then I hear something else, post it, and then I think that has to be it, there can be nothing more ridiculous than what I just posted about.

 I thought I heard it all when the genocide in Darfur was blamed on global warming, and now this, while not as important an issue as Darfur it may be just as stupid.

 SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Citing environmental concerns, Mayor Gavin Newsom issued an executive order prohibiting city departments from buying bottled water.

In a decision announced yesterday, Newsom says the ban will go into effect July first and extend to all city and county water coolers by December first.

A spokesman for the San Francisco public utilities commission says Newsom’s decision will save tax payer money and combat global warming.

You read that right, the mayor of San Francisco is banning water coolers in public departments. This is to combat global warming. Of course he doesn’t go into detail about how this will stop global warming, and to be honest this defies any logic. Not that any logic is ever being applied to the global warming issue. But this takes the cake.

Ban, Ban, Ban, Ban, Ban, that’s all these liberals know how to do. That’s what they consider legislating, just banning everything until the public falls in line.
