White House Fires Back at the Clinton’s over Libby Commutation
Today the white house fired back at the Clinton’s for their critical comments on Bush commuting the sentence of Scooter Libby. The remarks of Hillary Clinton did seem strange when you consider this list of pardons issued by President Clinton. Hillary should just lay low on this issue, but she has to play to the far left or risk losing votes.
This is some of what Clinton had to say:
Hillary Clinton said in a speech that Bush administration had “elevated cronyism over the rule of law.”
The white house responded today:
“When you think about the previous administration and the 11th hour fire-sale pardons and issues that were provided, commutations on the last day … it’s really startling that they have the gall to criticize what we believe is a very considered, a very deliberate approach to a very unique case,” Stanzel said.
Asked if he was accusing the Clintons of hypocrisy, he said: “It is amazing to me that they can, with what they did on January 20, 2001, they can criticize the president for issuing a commutation … It sort of pales in comparison.”
It’s good to see the white house fight back on this issue, the hypocrisy of the Clinton’s on this is undeniable. As a matter of fact it is extremely brazen on their part. Of course because they are Democrats their pardons were justified. We are not allowed to question them. They are smarter than us, we wouldn’t understand why these people should have been pardoned. But let Bush commute one person and watch the fireworks.
Read the whole acticle here.

It is so good to see them fight back on this issue. And gall is the perfect word to use. Hillary never ceases to amaze me on how she is willing to be so critical on issues that she absolutely no right to talk about. Unbelievable!!

If you really want to tweak the liberals, do some research on Bill Clinton’s legal problems and how they got out of them and then hit up the liberals with the facts when they try to claim how terrible Libby was and how Clinton was some sort of modern day saint.
The problem with Clinton is that he had more political power than Libby. he was able to sway the politicians in his favor. Many liberals I have been fighting with claim that Clinton didn’t do anything wrong since the Senate acquitted him on the perjury and obstruction of justice charges – yet what they refuse to acknowledge is that this was only due to PARTISAN politics since no democrat would vote against Clinton during the trial. With that in mind, I can’t quite figure out how the liberals have the nerve to claim “partisan politics” with the Libby issue.

The hypocrisy is so evident here it is laughable. Anything Clinto did has to be okat while everything Bush does is portrayed as criminal.

Of course! Then again, Clinton is a saint to democrats whilst Bush might as well have horns and a little pointy tail. It really doesn’t matter what you do so much as it matters how much you appease the loud-mouthed liberal masses.
