MoveOn.org to Pressure Fox News Advertisers

 MoveOn.org has found it’s latest target. They will be going after Fox News. What is the best way to go after a media outlet? By going after the advertisers on that outlet. Take away the money and you take away the outlet.

MoveOn.org, the Campaign for America’s Future and liberal blogs like DailyKos.com are asking thousands of supporters to monitor who is advertising on the network. Once a database is gathered, an organized phone-calling campaign will begin, said Jim Gilliam, vice president of media strategy for Brave New Films, a company that has made anti-Fox videos.

  You may wonder if such censorship could have legs.

At least 5,000 people nationwide have signed up to compile logs on who is running commercials on Fox, Gilliam said. The groups want to first concentrate on businesses running local ads, as opposed to national commercials.

  5,000 people already have signed up to join the fight, I’m sure the number will rise. Notice how they are going to go after the Mom and Pop, family owned small businesses first as they are an easier target? This is despicable, this is reprehensible, this is all the adjectives that I keep using over and over and over again to describe these people. I have run out of adjectives, I don’t know how else to describe them.

“It’s a lot more effective for Sam’s Diner to get calls from 10 people in his town than going to the consumer complaint department of some pharmaceutical company,” Gilliam said.

  Sickening, these people have official gone certifiably insane. The Democrats claim to be for the little guy, while evil Republicans are for BIG BUSINESS, and these people are the ones looking to take down any small business that is looking to promote themselves by any means possible.

The spokesman for Home Depot(big business is also going to be pressured) sums it up this way:

“We’re not in the business of censoring media,” Shields said. “We need to reach our customer base through all mediums available.”

  It can’t be said any better than that. What is it about the far left that has no tolerance for people who don’t agree with them? These are the people who preach tolerance and yet they hate conservatives with such a passion they want to shut them up forever.

  The fact that there is one television station that they believe slants to the right totally incenses them. The last time I checked Fox News every time they had a Republican spokesman on they also had a Democrat spokesman on debating the issues. That is what I like about Fox, I like to see the debate, both sides of the issue. I am smart enough to make up my own mind. I don’t need someone to hold my hand. Debate should never be silenced, it is one of the many things that make this country great. To silence one side seems rather communistic to me.

  I am really beginning to get pissed off as I write this. I am sick of these people and the bullshit they spew everyday. I am tired of them pretending they are for the little person, all the while looking to raise taxes, and now stifle their businesses through threats. I am sick of them telling me how I should live my life, what I should accept and what I should oppose. I am sick of their intolerance of my beliefs and points of view. I am sick of them trying to shut up conservatives. They don’t want to have a debate because they know they can’t win a debate, so they just continue to impose their views on America through coercion and the court system. We need to WAKE UP and stop this. We need to say no more, we need to sens a message to these people. The problem is that they are well organized and passionate, while our side is just sitting back, licking our wounds from last November, and doing nothing. Republican voters are disengaged and upset, and even worse unaffected, and seem willing to just roll over and let this happen.

  Do you realize how utterly obscene this is? Trying to shut down a news organization strictly because they don’t agree with it. Last time I checked, freedom of the press still existed.

 I am going to use the word that best describes the far left in this country:
