Sean Penn Meets Hugo Chavez

August 4, 2007

This is all you need to know:

But that’s not going to stop me from commenting anyways.

Once again another Hollywood elitist liberal shows us his total naivety or stupidity of the world around him. The left again shows us that in their hearts they are socialists. They feel guilty for all the money they have so they want us to spread around our money. Here’s an idea Sean, if you feel so guilty stop earning a living, give some of your money away. Sean’s hatred of GWB has pushed him into the loving coddling arms of a benevolent dictator, all the while proclaiming Bush is the dictator. Does anyone else the the ironic side of this?

Hugo Chavez has been slowly leading his country towards communism, and Sean Penn would rather talk to him than to our president, who is securing his liberty to do such a thing. What a brilliant mind this Sean Penn has.

Chavez met privately with the 46-year-old actor for two hours Thursday, praising him as being “brave” for urging Americans to impeach President Bush.

“In the name of the peoples of the world, President Bush, withdraw the troops from Iraq. Enough already with so much genocide,” Chavez said before an auditorium packed with his red-clad supporters.

Penn sat near the front, at times applauding and nodding in agreement.

So what did this man talk to Chavez about?

Chavez said he and Penn discussed the question of “why the (U.S.) empire attacks Chavez so much,” saying Venezuela’s oil wealth is a key reason.

He also said Washington is “afraid that the people of the United States will learn the real truth” about the situation in Venezuela, citing his social programs for the poor.

“If the people of the United States, those millions and millions of poor people … if that nation realizes what is truly happening here, there would be a revolution in the United States,” Chavez said, eliciting applause from Penn.

Applauding Chavez’s move toward communism, unbelievable. Of course Penn is being used by Chavez and is too stupid to realize it. Does he really think that Chavez would show him anything other than the great accomplishments of his country? Was he taken to see the poverty stricken people of Venezuela? No.

Chavez said the actor came wanting to learn about Venezuela.

“That man has opposed the war in Iraq with all his strength, and not only that, he went to Baghdad … and now he comes here. He’s going around touring the ‘axis of evil,'” Chavez said with a chuckle.

A chuckle, he couldn’t help but laugh at how stupid Penn was for being used in such an obvious way.

Isn’t it funny that the character Penn played in Fast Times At Ridgemont High, Spiccolli, was smarter than the acter that played him?

After Chavez recently shut down any dissenting voice in Venezuela even the moonbats at Democratic Underground saw what a tin plated dictator he really is.

The Hollywood elite seem to be extra slow to catch on. Not that it is any huge surprise. These are people that are paid insane amounts of money to mouth the words…of other people.

Why would it be a surprise that they also mouth the words of socialist thugs like Chavez? The coin of the realm in Hollywood is acceptance thru political correctness just as much as it is dollars.

The problem with some hollywood actors is that they don’t read and learn about the history of these countries, which I’m sure would cause them to reconsider their ideas. They can’t be bothered with facts, I suppose, and choose to only see what confirms their beliefs.
On a funny note, every time I see a story like this I’m reminded of a link a friend once sent: http://www.intternetti.net/~jiri/motivation/revolutionareies.jpg

Ugh, I just went on a rant about this. Penn clearly doesn’t realize how stupid he looks.

If Penn is anti American, I Daniel, as a Venezuelan citizen invite him to live in Venezuela! So he can experience the Venezuelan reality. Let us see if he enjoys losing his freedom of speech, losing his job at a TV station that Chavez has closed because the station speaks against the government. Would he enjoy being unable to purchase basic necessities such as black beans, sugar, eggs and milk when he pleases? How would he feel when his home and land were taken from him because he owns too much? What if Sean Penn needs surgery? He would have to bring basic medical supplies, if he can find them! Speaking of medicine, Chavez has left Venezuelan doctors without jobs because he has given those jobs to doctors from Cuba. The list goes on and on! With all this we describe would Sean Penn and Kevin spacey truly be happy with Chavez?

Thank you for sharing this. It amazes me the way these people can look up to someone like Chavez based on propoganda and anit-Bushism, also known as Bush Derangement Syndrom. They have no idea of the reality of what citizens in other countries go through. I cannot pretend to comprehend the atrocities and how hard the way of living is, but at least I understand what is going on in other countries. I understand how well I have it, unlike these Hollywood elites.
