Another Tax Increase for New Hampshire Drivers
We have, already had enough tax increases with liberal Governor John Lynch’s latest budget, and there are more to come, just wait until the education bill comes due. But, unfortunately the bill for the road is coming due right now. So what is the answer when you pass a budget that doesn’t include infrastructure? Toll increases, of coarse.
Transportation Commissioner Charles O’Leary wants to raise tolls from 75 cents to $1 at toll booths on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Hooksett and Bedford; from 50 cents to 75 cents on the Spaulding Turnpike in Dover and Rochester; and 50 cents to $1 at ramps on Interstate 95 in Hampton.
They don’t ever say it out loud, but toll increases ARE tax increases. Surely our governor, who in his own words proposed a fiscally responsible budget even though it contained several tax increases and no money for infrastructure or education would not back yet another tax increase, would he?
Gov. John Lynch backs the planned increases. “I think this is an urgent need here in New Hampshire,” Lynch said.
Governor Lynch can’t get his greedy little hands on enough of your money, New Hampshire. What a fraud this man perpetrated on the voters of New Hampshire.
