Global Warming is Destroying the Fashion Industry
This article claims that global warming is destroying the fashion industry.
It (global warming) is forcing fashion houses to ditch traditional seasonal collections for transeasonal garments that may lead to a drastic overhaul of fashion show schedules and retail delivery dates.
“The whole fashion system will have to change,” Beppe Modenese, founder of Milan Fashion Week, told The New York Times last week.
“The fashion system must adapt to the reality that there is no strong difference between summer and winter any more… You can’t have everyone showing four times a year to present the same thing. People are not prepared to invest in these clothes that, from one season to the other, use the same fabrics at the same weight.”
Are you kidding me? There is no strong difference between Summer and Winter. This is just not true. Here are the average temperatures here in New Hampshire:
New Hampshire, one of the six New England states, experiences a wide variety of weather and some of the widest differences in temperature in New England. New Hampshire has long, snowy winters; and short, sweet summers. In the cooler northern part of the state, Colebrook has an average January temperature of 12 degrees F; and a July average of 65 degrees. In central New Hampshire, Plymouth has an average January temperature of 20 degrees F; and a July average of 68 degrees. In southern New Hampshire, Nashua has an average January temperature of 23 degrees F and a July average of 71 degrees.
This is nothing but another group of liberals spouting their feel good agenda at the expense of everyone else regardless of the facts. Is this an attempt to woo conservative capitalists into the global warming hoax? We all know that capitalists are evil according to the liberals. They care nothing about the environment or anything else but making money. So if they can be convinced that global warming is destroying a business opportunity they will have to be on board. Are we really supposed to feel bad for these uppity-ups and their stupid theory that global warming is going to destroy their business? Just check out the last line of this article:
woollen pea coats could join polar bears as the latest casualties of global warming. And just who knows what will become of our beloved ugg boots?
Perfect, first we lose the polar bears, now we lose fur coats.

‘They care nothing about the environment or anything else but making money.’
Ain’t that the truth, with Bill and Hillary Clinton as Exhibit A. How many people did they rip off with Whitewater? And how many more by propping up crooks like Hsu and that guy from India as their fundraisers? Oh, that’s right– hey, they may be criminals, but since the Clintons are used to lying and stealing their way to power, if the thieves are with the Clintons, that must make it OK. Sad.
I am frankly opposed on principle, let alone on practical grounds, to paying any tax dollars to a government controlled by Hillary. Which leaves two options if the Kool-Aid gets mass-consumed and she were to be elected in 2008. One, openly refuse to pay, take up arms and mount a pitched battle against the feds when they come in– at least, try to do it before Hillary manages to confiscate all our guns too.
Or two, move with my better half and the kids to some nice, sun-kissed beach home in the French Riviera or Corsica, open up a local inn or restaurant, and pick some fancy-sounding Mediterranean name for ourselves. Which it sounds like a lot of people are thinking about doing.
Or we could defeat Hillary and actually save our country in 2008. Yeah, that’d be the top pick for me at least.

That is, just about, the funniest thing I have ever heard. Do you know we got a couple inches of snow up north last night and we’re supposed to almost hit freezing here tonight? Wherever this lack of seasons and winter is, I’d like to see it because it certainly isn’t here. It’s just more hype and panic… This time with a sexy pop culture twist.
