Stop Global Warming, for the Children

Do it for the children.

That is a phrase that we all know the Democrats love to use right before they try to tax  global-warming.jpgthe hell out of us. We must do it for the children, think about the children. How about this idea, let the parents worry about their own children. A recent example of this was the SCHIPS bill. This bill re- defined children up to the age of 25. Do it for the children. But that is not this issue I am writing about today.

The global warming alarmists are now beginning to hide behind the children. We have to change our lifestyles or the children will suffer. Do it for the children. When all else fails, out comes that famous phrase.

Global warming is likely to disproportionately harm the health of children, and politicians should launch “aggressive policies” to curb climate change, the American Academy of Pediatrics said today.

That sentence sums it up perfectly. Children in harms way, we need the politicians to be more aggressive with their policies.algorexmb10409100823-big.jpg In other words, they need start taxing with carbon offsets ans carbon taxes and the like. As I have been saying all along when a liberal  politician is the leading voice against global warming, or anything else for that matter, there is always an ulterior motive, and that motive is taxes. ALWAYS.

“We already have change, and certain bad things are going to happen no matter what we do,” Shea says. “But we can prevent things from getting even worse. We don’t have the luxury of waiting.”

We are doomed. Bad things are going to happen anyway. But we can help to curb the effects of global warming if we let the government regulate and control every aspect of our lives. What we drive, what we eat, when we can use our grills, how many times we can wipe our asses and how many squares we can use, how many children we can have, what type of lightbulbs we can use, all these things could be subject to regulations. Just go to my archives on global warming and you can read about all those things I just mentioned. Regulations and government control and oversight equals more taxes. That is a fact. On top of all of those topics, global warming has been blamed for wildfires in California, genocide in Darfur, cats breeding to quickly, and the death of the fashion industry. All of which I have written about.

They haven’t been able to make any of those stick, so now we must, do it for the children. These people are shameless. What exactly are our children in for if we don’t allow the government to take more of our money?

•Air pollution does more damage to children’s lungs, causing asthma and respiratory ailments, because their lungs are still developing, they breathe at a higher rate than adults and are outdoors more.

•Waterborne infections, such as diarrhea and other gastrointestinal problems, hit children especially hard. These infections rise sharply with more rain, which is expected as the climate warms.

•As mosquitoes are able to move to higher ground, the malaria zone is expanding. Kids are especially vulnerable; 75% of malaria deaths occur in children younger than 5.

The report briefly mentions that mass migrations are expected as regions become uninhabitable. “Children fare very poorly in these major population shifts,” says Irwin Redlener, director of the National Center for Disaster Preparedness at Columbia University and president of the Children’s Health Fund. “They’re more fragile medically and nutritionally,” says Redlener, who wasn’t involved with the report. “They’re less resilient, less likely to survive.”

Asthma, diarrhea, malaria, and migration is what our children will face of we don’t stop using BIG OIL. This is a pathetic attempt at pulling at our heartstrings because they must feel all their other angles are failing. After all, nobody wants to hurt the children or be perceived as hurting children so now they are trying to guilt us into taxation.

“This is not a political issue, it’s a public health issue,” Shea says. “If we know the health of children and future children is threatened, we have an obligation to act.”

 In other words:

Do it for the children
