Hurricane Katrina’s Contribution to Man-made Global Warming

global-warming.jpg I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later. I am talking about the effects of a NATURAL disaster being credited with contributing to global warming. More notably, Hurricane Katrina. No matter how liberal you are, and how much you want to blame George W Bush and his environmental policies for creating Hurricane Katrina it is bullshit, plain and simple. Hurricane Katrina was a natural disaster. For those of you too blinded by liberalism to understand that, let me spell it out for you. A natural disaster is something that was created or formed through nature. Here is the dictionary.com definition:

any event or force of nature that has catastrophic consequences, such as avalanche, earthquake, flood, forest fire, hurricane, lightning, tornado, tsunami, and volcanic eruption

Nature is an ongoing process. Nature has a tendency to weed out the weak, nature also has a way of strengthening the survivors. Out of disasters comes rebirth. Nature will always continue, nature will always adapt. So when I hear nature now being blamed for helping to destroy the planet I have to laugh. It is not enough for the liberals to blame global warming on man, they must also now blame nature. Or perhaps the liberals have forgotten that man is supposedly responsible for destroying the planet and in their haste they forgot that Katrina was nature, and not man. Just trust the liberals, they know what is best for us.

From the New Hampshire Union Leader we can read this:

Hurricane Katrina destroyed so many trees in 2005 that as they decay, they will emit enough carbon to equal the net amount of carbon all forests in the United States take in each year, new research from the University of New Hampshire shows.

When Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast in 2005, it killed or damaged more than 300 million trees that are expected to send about 105 million metric tons of carbon into the atmosphere as they decompose, according to a paper co-authored by UNH associate professor George Hurtt and published in the academic journal Science.

 Also according to the article:

Some researchers estimate that as global warming progresses, storms will get stronger and happen more often, Hurtt said, which could create a cycle of greater damage, which in turn puts more carbon into the atmosphere and thus creates even stronger storms.

Okay, these liberals are running around in circles now. Let me see if I can straighten this out. Man is creating global warming by doing whatever it is that man does. Hurricanes are creating global warming for doing what they do. Man will keep destroying the planet, hurricanes will keep hitting the planet. Man will make the hurricanes stronger, stronger hurricanes will destroy the planet even further than man already has, man is too blame for the hurricanes getting stronger because, well, I dont know why, I guess I have failed at straightening this bullshit out.

Do you see how absurd this is? Man is not doing anything that could possibly lead to stronger hurricanes.

“This situation with these hurricanes is a factor that hasn’t been considered yet that could make any amount of global warming that might happen due to human emissions even worse,” said Hurtt, who works at UNH’s Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans and Space.

In other words, the situation is much more grim than previously thought. Only Al Gore and the other politicians can save us now. We must open up our wallets and pocketbooks and pay the politicians RIGHT NOW, so they can save us, otherwise the planet is doomed.

Bullshit.

 I leave you with this:

“With all the interest in carbon and global warming, you’re going to see more people, including us, trying to quantify the carbon footprint of other natural disasters,” Hurtt said.

 Can you say California wildfires?

 I think you can.

So, basically they’re looking at the carbon footprint of hurricane damage? Wow, that is about the most absurd thing I have ever heard when it comes to the global warming fiasco. It is kind of funny though. The real moral of the story is that we’re doomed no matter what. We contribute to global warming. Nature contributes to global warming. And man and nature feed one another, making their contributions to global warming stronger all together. So I think that if I’m reading this right, we stop global warming until both man and nature and erased from the earth, right? Or maybe just one or the other so that at least they won’t feed off one another.

This is as bad as the BBC story a few months back where they claimed that trees were contributing to global warming because they were blocking and absorbing the sun that would ordinarily be reflected back by snow and ice… And cow farts. and and and. Every time they open their mouths it just sounds more silly. I can’t believe that anybody takes them seriously any more 🙂

Only the top row of tabs shows up on this, for a moment a second row shows but then it disappears…just wanted to let you know.

Also, read about the UN and how dangerous they are..
