Have the Clinton’s Finally gone too Far?

bill1.jpg It appears as though the left has finally come to the realization that the Clinton’s are a couple of liars. Or, probably closer to the truth, now that the Clinton’s are attacking their own, the left doesn’t think the Clinton’s lying is so cute anymore.

When the Clinton’s were lying and smearing the Republicans it was all for the common good. It was acceptable. When the Clinton’s smeared the women that Bill Clinton raped, and called them trailer trash and not credible, it was okay.

Now, however, they are smearing the man who was once thought of as a rising star in the Democrat party, Barack Obama. The Clinton’s have purposely made this an election based on race, further hurting race relations in this country. Instead of Obama being able to run on his rather iffy credentials, the Clinton’s have forced him to run on his race. The Clinton’s have turned this into black versus white. So much for the party of inclusion, huh?

But it appears now that many good liberals are beginning to turn on the Clinton’s because of this despicable strategy. Liberals have finally realized the type of people the Clinton’s are and it isn’t pretty.

Robert Reich, former Labor Secretary in the Bill Clinton administration, has accused his old boss of leading a “smear campaign against Obama that employs some of the worst aspects of the old politics.”

“Bill Clinton’s ill-tempered and ill-founded attacks on Barack Obama are doing no credit to the former president, his legacy, or his wife’s campaign. Nor are they helping the Democratic Party,” Reich wrote on his blog.

And:

Liberal talk-radio host Ed Schultz blasted the former president on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews: “[Clinton] lied 10 years ago about Monica Lewinsky and he’s lying about a very viable candidate and somebody who could really bring change in this country [Sen. Barack Obama]. He is embarrassing poor Democrats.”

 But wait, there’s more:

Sen. Tom Daschle criticized “President Clinton’s inaccurate descriptions of the differences between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton on the war, about his inaccurate portrayal of Barack’s comments … he made about Republicans.”

 And that’s not all:

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) warned that Obama’s record was being “swift boated” -unfairly attacked. Kerry did not name the Clintons directly as the perpetrators of the “swift boating,” but the implication was clear.

“The fight is just heating up,” Kerry said. “We won’t let them steal this election with lies and distortions.”

 And even more:

Nicholas von Hoffman, a veteran liberal columnist, wrote in Nationmagazine that Hillary Clinton is an “experienced political thug.” He also accused both Clintons of “playing demolition derby politics” and advised Barack Obama to take a word of advice from former president Lyndon Johnson: “[don’t get] into a pissing contest with a skunk.”

Von Hoffman also compared the Clintons’ treatment of Obama to the way they tried to discredit Paula Jones. “In the last couple of days, Barack Obama has found out what Paula Jones must have felt like after being worked over by the Clinton organization,” von Hoffman wrote. “Ms. Clinton goes slap, slap, slap across his face as husband Bill lets the Illinois Senator [sic] have it below the belt.”

Today Ted Kennedy endorsed Barack Obama and mentioned that he was tired of the politics of personal destruction, or something along those lines. So the question is, have the Clinton’s finally gone too far?

That is a question that we will soon know the answer to. By purposely dividing Democrats between the race and gender lines have they finally alienated those that held them in such high esteem? Does the left now realize that the Clinton’s don’t give a fuck about them, that they will do whatever it takes for them to succeed in their narcissistic pursuit of power?

The left is finally realizing, or at least accepting, what the right has known for so, so long. And that is that the Clinton’s are nothing but power hungry, do and say whatever it takes, ruthless, political whores. So, will the voters turn on them? I think not, remember, the ends justifies the means in their minds.

While most logical people realized what the Clinton’s were about long ago, too many emotional people have not. Liberals think with their hearts instead of their heads, and too many of them have not yet had their hearts broken by the Clinton’s.

Bill Clinton ( the first black president) continues to turn Barack Obama into the “black” candidate instead of just another candidate, and continues to show us that the Democrats look at people as different catagories and groups instead of just people. He continues to show us that the Democrats are the true bigots in America by continually seperating people along ethnic lines for political gain.

The Democrat leaders are finally beginning to see the Clinton’s for who they are, but more importantly, do the voters?

The dems are going to eat themselves from the inside out, and I can’t say that I’m at all surprised. They have spent years (decades in some cases) building and fostering a way of doing things, but now those very things they worked so hard to create are going to bite them square in the ass.

The Clintons are part of a legacy in the democratic party that only thrives when they get their way. Interestingly, I would say that people like the Clintons have helped to build the “me and only me” mentality that seems to define the democrats these days and now that the they are facing down the “new” generation of dems that have come of age in this culture and are now getting pissed that the Clintons want things their way or no way – while they too want things their way of no way.

It would be fun to sit back and watch if I wasn’t so terrified that one of these freaks might possibly be in charge of our country in the near future.

And it only took them like, what, 16 years to figure it out…? Unreal.
