President Bush Prepares Global Warming Initiative
I can’t even begin to describe how disappointing this is from the Bush administration. President Bush appears ready to give in to the whole global warming hoax.
President Bush is poised to change course and announce as early as this week that he wants Congress to pass a bill to combat global warming, and will lay out principles for what that should include
We know what any bill to combat global warming will include, new taxes. But what I really find scary in this article is the following:
“This is an attempt to move the administration and the party closer to the center on global warming. With these steps, it is hoped that the debate over this is over, and it is time to do something,” said an administration source
Move the party closer to the center on global warming? The debate is over? Goddamn it, this pisses me off to no end. John McCain is already on board with this whole scam and now the foundation is being laid by President Bush. AAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
President Bush is a lame duck, he can’t get anything done that he wants to with a Democrat majority in the house and senate, but he wants to ensure a legacy. So he turns to an issue that the libs love, global warming. He knows that as much as they would love to oppose him on this issue it is their baby, they can’t. So he will be able to score political points on his way out of office while selling us out to the environmental, moonbat, global warming alarmist, liberals.
He is trying to appease the left but it will not work. It doesn’t matter what he does, the left will always find fault. All this will do is further alienate conservatives who are already upset that John McCain is the Republican nominee.
I have said it many, many times before but there is no stopping it now. HOLD ON TO YOUR WALLETS! With both parties poised on the same side of this issue it is time for Americans to pay the piper.
Funny how environmentalists are called green isn’t it? Because that is what it costs us, green. And now George Bush is poised to join them.
It’s over. As I said at the top of this post, I can’t even describe how disappointing this is.

I couldn’t agree with you more!! I can’t believe Bush is buying into this BS!!! I looooooooove that South Park pic!!

I just finished my BA and one of my last classes, believe it or not, was an environmental class. I was open minded but seriously not buying into any of it. However, when I finished the class I came to 2 realizations.
We don’t know what is causing global warming. You can defend both sides of the argument.
However, I did come to believe that we are impacting our world negatively in the sense of polluting our water resources or totally straining our water resources, etc.
What irritates me the most about this with President Bush is that the culprit to 70% plus of the damage to our air, water, and the earth is done by companies who produce oil, coal, and petroleum and yet the focus is always on restraining us, the people.
I read this great book on this subject from a Christian Perspective, if you will. Pollution and the Death of Man: The Christian View of Ecology, by Francis A. Schaeffer. It is well worth the read if you have time – even if you are not a Christian because it explains why we should take care of our planet – in a balanced way.
Anyway, great post!
I love your blog and actually added a link to it on mine.

Maybe President Bush is just getting hot under collar?
I agree with Dominique on this one. We just know too little about global warming to know what to do. As you know, I am on the side of “there is global warming”. But the problem I have is that we are thinking of solutions without actually knowing all the reasons for it. It’s like saying the patient is sick – and then just give him any medicine. We don’t know if the patient has cancer or just a cold. But we treat him for burns just any case. First know the problem and reasons and then set down the solution.

All Presidents look for a way to make their Library shine with a Star to draw people. It is not suprising Bush sold out his ethics and ideals.

Maybe we should get Cheney in there, cauterize the bleeding. I wish I knew why he is doing this. Easy solution, all the moonbats who are so worried about “global warming” should stop exhaling CO2. If the earth is going to burn up, then why is the polar bear population growing? I saw a strange thing the other day– a Prius with a Jesus fish on it. OxyMORON.

Dominque, thanks I have added you to my blogroll also.
Hot under the collar, very funny AA. 🙂
The earth may have warmed slightly over the years, but I find it funny that the people who can’t even predict the weather in New England three days in advance think that they can tell us the weather 10-20 years down the road.
