California Looks for $7 Billion Federal Bailout

October 3, 2008

Now that the president has signed the Wall Street bailout into law the liberal Republican governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has his hand out looking for a federal bailout.

If I am not mistaken Governor Gray Davis was recalled by California voters because of California’s budget crisis leading to the election of Arnold Schwarzenegger. But now Arnold can’t control spending and he is unable to balance the budget so he is turning to the federal government to bail his ass out also.

It is time for Arnold to do what he was elected to do and that is to control spending and bring the deficit under control. Arnold is a RINO and just hasn’t been able to stop himself from spending more money than his state brings in and now he wants us to pay for his out of control spending.

The bailout has opened the door and everyone is now going to walk in and ask for a little help. The cost of this bailout is not yet understood and it is just going to keep growing. If Arnold is able to grab federal funds for his ineptitude at controlling spending how many states will follow?

Californians recalled Gray Davis for this problem, now they should recall Arnold. Until California realizes that they have to limit their spending to how much money that thake in than nothing will change. Why should we pay for their transgressions? We shouldn’t have to but the door is open.

You are assuming that the people in California would be willing to give up all of the entitlements that they’ve got through various Proposition 3.141593 bills. Unfortunately, his hands are tied in regards to a lot of that spending. In other words, he can not cut the spending if he wanted to. I remember that fact being covered in the news shortly after he took office.

And that is where the biggest problem lies. People are used to getting these entitlements and will be unwilling to give them back. It is amazing how much free stuff costs.
