Wayne Huizenga to Sell Dolphins Before January for Fear of a Barack Obama Presidency
Wayne Huizenga wants to sell the Miami Dolphins, and he wants to sell them now. Wayne Huizenga realizes that if he waits until after Barack Obama becomes president that Barack Obama will “punish” him for being successful. Wayne Huizenga is looking to sell the Dolphins quickly because of the tax increases that Barack Obama will impose on capital gains taxes.
“If you do it this year or you do it next year, the difference is humongous because of the taxes,” Huizenga said.
Most people do not feel bad for Huizenga, you know the liberals are going to portray him as a greedy, egotistical, self-centered, uncaring millionaire. And who knows maybe that is accurate, but that is not the point.
The point is that this is an example of what can be expected with Barack Obama’s tax policies, and I am not talking about punishing the rich so that he can “spread the wealth around.” I am talking about the detrimental effect that his policies will have on commerce. People will be dissuaded from selling for fear of the penalty that will be imposed on them. There will be no incentivefor buying and selling. In fact his policies will guarantee the opposite.
This is an example, a high profile one, but it is only one, how many others feel the same way and will be dissuaded from conducting transactions?
As the economy slows down the last thing that we need is higher taxes that will further slow down the flow of money.
As Wayne Huizenga says, he would rather keep his own money and then donate it to charity if he sees fit.
“He wants to double the capital gains tax, or almost double it,” Huizenga said. “I’d rather give it to charity than to him.”
Barack Obama’s tax policies will further slow down an already troubled economy. That is change that we do not need.

This poor billionaire I feel so sorry for him.

You missed my point. My point was on the larger effect that Obama’s policies will have on the economy. I even made mention of the fact that you would react the way that you did.
You did not miss my point, you chose to ignore it.

This is what Sarah and McCain have been trying to tell us for the past week. If it takes the owner of the Dolphins to get the point across, so be it. And J. Patterson is just repeating the class envy crap that is ever so popular with the left.
