I Want President Obama to Fail
I want President Obama to fail- there I said it. I said it and I meant it. There is one issue that I do not want President Obama to fail on and that is keeping America safe. I hope that President Obama will take the threat of terrorism seriously. Like it or not, terrorism is a real issue, it isn’t just fear-mongering.
So with that stipulated, why in hell would I want President Obama to succeed? I don’t agree with him on any of the issues, President Obama is not just a left leaning politician he is the most far left leaning person ever to win the presidency. So why should I hope that President Obama is successful in implementing his far left ideology if I couldn’t disagree more with his positions? I want President Obama to fail to implement his agenda.
The left is now saying that it is time for us to rally around the new president and come together as a country but that wasn’t their message after these same American people elected George W Bush was it? And why should people who didn’t agree with the former president’s policies have been expected to hope that he implemented those policies? They shouldn’t have been and they didn’t, so don’t sit there in your ivory tower and tell me that I have to wish President Obama nothing but the best because your candidate won the election when you weren’t willing to do the same when my candidate won in 2004. Ater 2004 nobody that voted for John Kerry said “George Bush is my president too” or “I hope George Bush is successful” so don’t expect me to fall in line with President Obama’s agenda. What comes around goes around.
Dissent is patriotic, remember? Or have you forgotten that now that a man than you feel is correct is in power? I am the Patriotic Dissenter, if I feel President Obama’s policies are bad for America or just plain un-American socialist policies I will not fall in line. I will rise up and I will speak my voice.
Don’t ever forget that the left proclaimed opposing the president is patriotic. It is by the left’s own creed that I will be the Patriotic Dissenter. It is by their own words and their own actions that I declare once again:
I WANT PRESIDENT OBAMA TO FAIL.
I am only being patriotic.

Here’s the thing: President Obama has, and always will, made an issue of unity through conversation and dissent. So, yes, I respect your opinion that you hope Obama fails, but to say it so categorically, without possibility of conversation, is ignorant and, frankly, simple-minded.
Also, the basing such a sweeping political ideology on such a simple reasoning as an “eye for an eye” also strikes me as remarkable laziness. Sure, there were some liberal-minded folk who were also narrow-minded regarding President Bush after the last election, but that doesn’t give you a free pass to do the same. And I’d like to casually remark that President Bush never stood for discourse with people with whom he disagreed — a failing that perhaps trumps whatever ideological differences he and I may have.
So next time you decide blindly to shock your audience and woo your right-wing friends, I’d counsel to think first about being the better man, standing up and talking through an idea with others. Who knows, you might find that most people just want to make America great.

Hey Pink,
You sure are getting a lot of attention from the left wing Obamatards lately. Good job. In addition to showing support for our onservative values you also seem to be getting under their skin.
Good job. Keep up the good work.

Robin you read into the post so much but not enough. See between the lines that Mr Pink Eyes nor just the Right are against things such as unbridled Keynesian Economics , threats to US sovereignty via bowing to the UN and so much more.
The post was fine. It clearly allows people to read and think. I don’t see how it is incumbent upon Pink Eyes or any other citizen to try to control the action of the reader afterwards. Obama would do well in accepting that too

Mr. Pinkeyes, I agree. Obama is doomed to fail in everything except giving our money to leftist groups–you know, those who always have their hands out and refuse to accept responsibility and take care of themselves. We have a large element in this country who simply continue to look to Washington for their livelyhood—they folks have been around for a long time. Their numbers increased drastically under the Great Society of LBJ–we had begun to thin out their numbers in recent years, but now they are back in force. The only way the Democrates can ever win elections is to promise these people more and more, and thats what they did in “spades”.
Yes, I said Obama is doomed to fail and it will not be just on domestic issues. I hope, too, that american don’t have to die to prove Obama wrong—but I see that coming, also. B.H.O. is weak, indecesive and in my opinion cowardly. Flaws in a man and a disaster in a president.

I want President Obama to wake up. Stay “centered” if you know what I mean. Leave capitalism alone. Don’t be a dope.

Robin, my feelings about wanting President Obama’s agenda to fail is based on the fact that I son’t agree with him on the issues. There is nothing knee jerk about it, he has stated his positions and I oppose them. Perhaps you consider taking a stand on issues simple minded but I find your lack of a backbone to take a position on the issues cowardly. As far as two wrongs don’t make a right, maybe not but it feels damn good.
Cpl Booth, thanks. I am enjoying the fact that I am able to get under their skin. This is going to be fun, I just wish the issues weren’t so serious. But what can you do other than laugh about it, we must or we will go crazy.
Ron, I have the same fears as you, it seems that a majority of Americans now feel that it is the governments job to provide the people with a livelyhood. Once we have reached that point ho are we to ever turn the tide back?
Deb, I don’t think that there is any chance of President Obama staying centered.

Cpl Booth, there is just too much to go into in regards to that link. In time I am sure that I will write about most of it. Let’s just say that from the looks of it there is going to be a massive expansion of government programs and entitlements coupled with many new laws and regulations as we head toward a very, very left leaning agenda.
Somebody is going to have to pay for all of this and I think that we know who that will be.

You know what this post sounds like? It sounds like the immature rambling and whining made by liberals democrats after the 2004 election. Just replace Obama with Bush, right with left,… You darn near got something straight from back then.
Do the conservatives not believe in taking responsibility for one’s actions? From what I’ve seen of the conservative blogs that I follow through RSS, that is not the case.
Instead, they blame the media. They dismiss people who voted for Obama as being overly emotional. They cling to conspiracy theories about birth certificates and other legal documents. They engage in McCarthy style witch hunts. They play the fairness doctrine card.
Rather than acknowledge that mistakes have been made and addressing their short comings, they try to pass the blame off on someone else. Is this tit for tat? It is. Does that make it right? I don’t think so.
You would think that the loss of control of both the legislative and executive branches of government would be a wake-up call. The voters have spoken and they have decided that the democrats would address the “bread and butter” issues better after 8 years of corporate welfare at tax payer expense.
It is their turn to screw things up. When they do, the pendulum will swing back to the republicans until they invariably screw things up again. Thus, the vicious cycle resulting from a political duopoly continues.

I for one hope Obama fails at all costs! Obama vs countries that want to harm the US? Everything is gray now. There are no more good guys. Just terrorists and…… Obama. If this were a football game, I would turn the channel. I don’t care anymore.

Terrant may have a point. We do sound like whiners to blame the election on the media. Even though people do beleive everything they hear on the network news ( I hear it every day). BUt I suppose it is possible that America was just ready for a change. DUH! The same change that happens every 4 or 8 years. Depending on how the voting public “feels” about the country or the President. It is emotional. What do you think? There’s a big huge MENSA tank spread out in the country? Of course people vote based on emotion.

Let’s look at Merriam-Webster Dictionary’s definition of “patriotic”:
1 : inspired by patriotism
2 : befitting or characteristic of a patriot
Patriotism: love for or devotion to one’s country
Patriot: one who loves his or her country and supports its authority and interests
Everyone is entitled to their own feelings and opinions, but I would not characterize you as “patriotic”.
I do not think of myself as either Democrat or Republican. But I do think that W was just a hair line above mental retardation and his father paid his way into the White House with his son as the pawn. I didn’t like Sr. much more than Jr., I’ll admit. I really cannot think of one single thing about W to like or respect, nor one single thing that he did as President either.
I am glad that era is over and am personally happy that we have a President that has read and understands the constitution and I think that no matter how much you want him to fail, I think that he is going to do good things for this country. More importantly, I think that Obama has the ability to inspire people to get up of their big, fat American asses and do something, a lot of things, for themselves instead of standing around with their hands out waiting for the government, or anybody, to do it for them.
To me, that was what his campaign was all about. Yes we can.
