Obama’s Cap and Trade Policy is the Biggest Tax Increase in History
Let me start of this post with an obligatory “global warming is nothing but a hoax designed to tax and regulate the American people” disclaimer.
I have made my position on this issue abundantly clear. We are going to have the hell taxed out of us if we allow ANY politician to have their way with us in the scam.
But we are in more danger now than ever before in regards to what the politicians have in store for us on this issue. With an ultra left Democrat in the white house, (the most far leftist ever to be in the white house), and for all intents and purposes a super majority in the senate we are in danger of losing to the global warming hoax in a big way.
When I see people like Sen. Jim Inhofe come out and say the following I feel justified in my skepticism (not that I need justification, it is obvious to anyone paying attention what the goals of the left are on this issue):
In his speech to Congress Tuesday night, President Barack Obama “committed himself to the largest annual tax increase in the history of America,
He continued:
As bad as the stimulus spending bill was, this would be much worse because instead of being one-time spending, the cap-and-trade tax increase would keep occurring year after year
We are in danger of handing over large amounts of money that rightfully belong to us, money that we earned through hard work, and why? Because the government is using this issue as a means to raise even more money. Once we allow these politicians to take this money from us we will never get it back.
The biggest tax increase in the history of America is about to be levied upon us and there is nothing that we can do about it. But there will be more than just these huge tax increases. We will have less freedoms as the government steps in and regulates our behaviors.
We are going to lose more of our money and more of our freedoms. This is only the beginning.
We just have to hope that Jim Inhofe and enough dissenting voices on the right will stand firm against this and do what is right for the American people. We need the Republicans to grow a backbone and refuse to give in on this issue. Americans cannot afford to be taxed any more than we already are, especially on such a bogus issue.

You could make an argument for a phased in cap and trade approach in some high polluting industries. Only because I happen to like fresh air.
Global warming is not one of those arguments.

Many of the global warming alarmists automatically think that if you are either for the global warming taxes or for polluting the environment. That is not true, like you I also like fresh, clean air. But as you said, that is not what global warming is about.

Al Gore should be shot or jailed! I vote for shot, it’s cheaper. That moron has already cost this country more than just about anyone else that was never a President, and thank God for that!

This just another in a long line of tax hikes as Obama tries to pay for ballooning government deficits and massive government growth. They’re vindictive and based on class warfare, and they’re going to rip America away from the populist ideas of economic freedom it was founded on. The Founding Fathers are going to be restless in their graves for the long months and years to come.

That asshole did threaten to bankrupt coal-fired power plants. I guess he was serious at least on that promise.
