House votes to defund ACORN
ACORN appears to be in serious trouble; a few days ago the senate voted to discontinue additional funding to the corrupt organization and today the house followed suit voting 345-75 to defund the groups as well.
This, along with the arrest of eleven employees and the resignation of two others, is a good start but it is only a start. It is time to demand that ACORN return all monies that were used for their illegal operations and it is time to widen the investigation. This organization has been getting away with too much for too long and it is time to drop the hammer on them.
It is telling that both the senate and the house, controlled by Democrats, voted to defund ACORN by a total vote of 80% in favor of the defunding. This shows us how volatile ACORN has become to the party that once was so loyal to them. ACORN has been exposed, they are political dynamite to any politician who dares to defend them.
ACORN is finally getting what they so richly deserved for many years, and it comes none to soon.

But will Obooboo SIGN it??

I am encouraged to hear this, but I have to wonder if it will actually pass Congress in this form. The amendment is attached to other legislation and if we are not careful, it may go by the wayside during the back and forth debate and revisions it has to go through before it reaches the desk of the President. As it is attached to a fiscal bill for 2010 which is nearly certain to pass, chances are good, if the amendment stays in the bill.

Very possible, the amendment was added with much attention, perhaps it could jusr quietly slip away.

I had a conference call with Congresswoman Bachmann and she told us this is a fake out. There are two bills and unless they are merged into one bill and Obama signs it, this isn’t going to happen. And…they know that.
She has put together a petition asking the President to de-fund ACORN. Here is the link.

BTW, she informed us she is enemy #1 on Pelosi’s hit list. Pelosi is doing all she can to make sure Bachmann doesn’t win re-election. If you can help, or send her website to others who might be able to, you can do so at the above link.
BTW2, she also told us in the last election, the dems raised 2.6 million dollars to in 6 days in their attempt to try and beat her! Of course, we know she won. She say next election will be very, very difficult.

It looks like they may pull a fast one on us here. I will sign the petition. We have to watch these people all the time, they cannot be trusted.

I can think of a lot of dems who must have had to upchuck in order to vote for that bill! What’s the odds that Piglosi will lose her seat next year??
