Homeland Security confirms Obama’s plan to offer illegal immigrants amnesty
Homeland Security director, Janet Napolitano, has confirmed what we all knew was Obama’s position; he is going to push for an immigration reform bill that will provide amnesty for the 14 million illegal immigrants now estimated to be in the country.
A tough and fair pathway to earned legal status will mandate that illegal immigrants meet a number of requirements—including registering, paying a fine, passing a criminal background check, fully paying all taxes and learning English
While I like the idea that illegal aliens would have to pay their taxes and learn English is there anybody out there that thinks these guidelines will ever be met or enforced by the administration?
Janet Napolitano uses the argument that once illegals become legal and begin to pay their taxes that it will strengthen the economy. Somebody please explain to me how we can add 14 million “workers” to the workforce, who will be taking jobs away from Americans who are searching desperately for work, and this will help the economy.
The fact is that these illegals will take jobs away from American citizens, and please don’t try to tell me that they are only doing the jobs that Americans will not do. With an unemployment rate over 10%, and with Obama’s policies in place the number is sure to climb, there are no jobs that desperate Americans will not do if it means putting food on the table.
Barack Obama should be focusing his attention on creating more jobs for the American people, not on creating more legal workers for jobs that are not there.
But there is another angle to this story that I want to explore, and that is the healthcare issue. Barack Obama continues to claim that there are 40 million AMERICANS without healthcare insurance but that is not true. There may be 40 million people living in America who do not have healthcare but 14 million of them are illegal aliens. Obama has also claimed that no illegal alien will be granted free healthcare under his reform bill and if he manages to legalize the 14 million illegals I suppose that statement will be true. Once Obama provides the 14 million illegals with amnesty they will be American citizens and will then be eligible for healthcare. Obama will give illegals healthcare insurance– he just plans on legalizing them first. He is playing the age old game of bait and switch.

What part of NO AMNESTY doesn’t obama understand? We went throught this before and made our voices heard. Now he wants to give these criminals AMNESTY again? ENFORCE the law, obama! We got 16 million Americans out of work while illegal aliens are doing jobs Americans could have. If amrnsty were given to these criminals, you can bet big money that three years from now, we would have another 5 million illegal aliens demonstrating on our soil for amnesty. ENFORCE THE LAW!

I have never seen so much negativity happen in our country in my entire life, and I’m almost 71 yrs old. Everyone is shaking their head, not understanding what is happening. Well, they had better open their eyes and look around them…the illegals in our country are not just the Mexican’s, but millions of Middle Easterner’s that mean us a great deal more harm than the Mexicans.
WAKE UP AMERICAN, LOOK AROUND YOU. THIS IS NO LONGER THE 50’s, 60’s or even the 90’s…this is a whole new world we’re living in, and our’s is being destroyed everyday we sit back and keep our mouths shut and do nothing to help protect ourselves, our children, even our great grandchildren…
I may not have a college degree, but you can bet I’ve got a lot more common sense than those sitting in Washington. Why won’t our elected politicians stand up and do their part to protect us? Are they that afraid of Obama, or is it they’re stupid and agree with what he’s doing to our country, if that’s the case…let’s get them out fast.
They are destroying our Constitution and our country.

first of all, if people were “desperately” looking for jobs, they would already have a job, havnt you heard of million of companies hiring, alooot of jobs are open.

whether they like the wage or not, is another thing. Immigrants are willing to work for less wages.
and not all immigrants come to get jobs, but to OPEN new jobs for other people by opening businesses.

so you think ALL illegal immigrants are criminals… Don’t stereotype… Most of these illegal immigrants are working their ass off to help their families survive in other poor countries, not unlike most of the citizens that are just being a couch potato and doing nothing but wait… These people are in fact helping America’s economy when they send money in other countries… And they’re not trying to take away jobs from citizens, they are just hardworking people, so beat the crap out and don’t talk shit about these good people…

If a person is in this country illegally that means they broke the law to get here, that means they are criminals. It is a pretty simple concept actually, I am surprised that you find it so hard to understand. I am not saying that all of these people will commit additional crimes, that seems to be what you think that I meant, but the fact remains that they committed a crime just by coming here in the manner that they did while people who are trying to come here legally are left waiting.

I agree. And also, most illegal immigrants are the ones that are doing all the dirty work for us Americans. Such as construction, gardening, and keeping our society clean. Come on, people. Understand what position they’re in right now. I can understand why most U.S. citizens are against amnesty, but is it going to hurt us that bad to grant these people amnesty? All they are trying to do is improve their lives by looking for jobs and opportunities in this country. I believe that Obama has very good intentions for our country; why else would he have ran for president? It’s time to open our hearts and minds to the future and stop criticizing Obama so harshly for the good he’s TRYING to do.

Once they are legal and have to be paid legal wages no one will want them. Their employers will look to the next wave of illegals [cambodians, vietnamese perhaps] for their labor needs and this group of new “americans” will go on the dole full time and vote democrate to keep the money flowing from us to them.

All Illegals aren’t “Terrorist”, and all Illegals aren’t “Mexican’s”. I’ve said before, and I’ll say it again, many Mexican’s come to the U.S. with little education, they work hard, and stand in line buying Money Orders to send their money home to family on payday. Then you have the Mexican drug dealers that cause much harm to everyone…you can bet they’re not sending their money home to family for food or housing…then we come to the Illegal Middle Easterner’s who come to our country well educated, speaking two or more languages, and well trained in their criminal activities, with number one being, how to play the “Dumb American’s” and get anything they want. I find it amazing that everyone from the Middle East was so wealthy, they come and open their own business, never, ever working for anyone but themselves or family. Do you find that strange? Then we’ve got the same group that come here, commit their crimes making large profits and sharing those profits with terrorist organizations, keeping enough to open their own business, but continuing on with their crimes, i.e., cigarette smuggling, as there’s a lot more profit in something illegal, than running a legal business while being here illegally…hey the Dumb American’s, they will even give you a government loan “SBA” allowing them to buy or build their own new convenience store a lot easier than you or I as legal American’s could ever dream of accomplishing…If you doubt me, ask Mohamoud Hammoud the leader of the Charlotte cell, he know how to do it and never be punished, bet he’s teaching others in the federal prisons how to work out system while we speak.
Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t start this out to down anyone, but an “ILLEGAL IS AN ILLEGAL” I don’t care where he comes from. Being in the U.S. illegally is a felony, and should be treated as such. But instead, our Dumb President wants to give them Amnesty making them all legals…yeah, right..I don’t think so. We need o make our leaders enforce our laws and prosecute the illegals, not make them legal. Let them come to our country legally, and do it the way our forefathers did, the right way. Otherwise, send them back to their own country, and if they don’t like it, let them change their country, not ours.

AFTER NATIONALIZATION OF HEALTH CARE, AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS IS NEXT!
If the “Gang of Three” (Obama, Pelosi and Reid) get their way and the unconstitutional Health Care bill is somehow rammed through the congress and signed by the imposter President, against the will of the majority of the American people, full Amnesty for the illegal aliens will be next.
If the communist style nationalization of the American Health Care system is completed, the Democratic-Communist Party will next try to steamroller the legislative approval of the remaining parts of their American Communist Manifesto before the elections in November of 2010.
Amnesty will be first, followed by Cap and Trade and then they will come after our guns.
President Obama has already approved a tentative plan drawn up by Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) that will allow illegal aliens to be put on a path to citizenship, offer green cards to keep high-skilled foreign university graduates in this country and create a temporary program for low-skilled workers, with some of these workers also getting the chance to become citizens. How does this help the American worker?
Thankfully, there is some resistance to this plan already. Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, said flatly that it can’t pass. “The bill doesn’t have a prayer, because the American people oppose rewarding lawbreakers, which then encourages illegal immigration,” he said. “Allowing millions of illegal immigrants to stay and take jobs away from citizens is like giving a burglar a key to the house. Illegal immigrants should return home and play by the rules like millions of legal immigrants.”
Congress last looked at the illegal immigration problem back in 2007, when President George W. Bush joined with Democratic leaders to write a bill. But a bipartisan majority of senators joined a filibuster to block the bill.
The supporters of the 2007 effort concluded that Americans didn’t trust the government to secure the borders and enforce the laws, even as they were offering legalization, particularly since illegal immigration has only grown since a 1986 amnesty.
The Schumer-Graham Plan has four main components:
1. an easier path to citizenship for illegal aliens
2. a program to let in even more foreign workers,
3. improvements in immigration enforcement (we’ve heard this before) and
4. the introduction of biometric Social Security cards to help employers weed out illegal workers, unfortunately and unconstitutionally, American workers will also be required to cary national worker ID cards to make this work under their plan. “Show me your papers?”
According ot the proposed plan, illegal immigrants would also have to demonstrate they are proficient at English and pass background checks to gain citizenship. More smoke and mirrors.
The plan would offer permanent legal status to foreign students who earn a post-graduate degree from an American university (so they can compete for jobs with our own college graduates), and will also create a future program for low-skilled workers (so they can compete with other American workers). Businesses could only hire them if no American worker is available, and the number allowed would fluctuate depending on the U.S. economy’s needs. Workers who have kept jobs for a long time and have proved valuable members of their community could earn permanent legal status. How does this help the American worker?
This is just another piece of smoke and mirror amnesty legislation proposed by a couple of marxist-communists in the Senate and the White House that is designed to completely destroy our country.
Why would we want to continually import foreign workers into the USA when our own American born workers cannot find jobs? How does this help the American worker?
If this immigration amnesty proposal is successful, America, this great beacon of freedom in the world, will be turned into a communist, third world, multi-lingual, dumbed down, uneducated mass of humanity that can more easily be controlled and manipulated by their new Masters, the new American politburo and the old establishment oligarchy.
