John Dingell on healthcare reform: “it takes a long time to control the people”
John Dingell had some interesting comments on the healthcare reform bill:
He claims that it takes a long time to institute legislation that will control the people. He went on to claim that the Republicans have not done anything to help the Democrats to achieve this. And for that I say thank you to the Republicans. To put this answer in context, he was answering a question about why the “benefits” wouldn’t go into effect until 2014, but his answer is very revealing. He is admitting that this legislation is designed to “control the people,” and that is an argument that many of us on the right have been making all along so a thank you must also be given to John Dingell for finally admitting to the American people what many of us had known all along. Democrats want control, there can no longer be any doubt about it.
I heard on the radio today that John Dingell is claiming that he misspoke because he was tired and I will give him the benefit of the doubt. He did misspeak, but his misspeak was in actually admitting the long guarded secret of the goal of the healthcare reform bill. I believe he actually told the truth about the Democrats goal, he was just too tired to stop himself from telling the truth. He meant what he said, he just didn’t mean to say it. He has echoed what I am sure has been talked about in upper positions in the administration, and what many people on the right have believed all along.
This should serve to wake up all but the most ardent leftists in the country.

He did slip with the truth, but I do have to question if many libs will wake up because of it. It might cause them to question for a bit, but unless they see or hear more, they’ll continue drinking the Kool-Aid.

You are probably right, just a little wishful thinking on my part.

I’d like to be a fly on the wall when a couple of these guys throw back a few at the local bar/club some night. Oh, the revelations from alcohol-loosened tongues….

Yeah we could probably learn quite a bit about these people once they have thrown back a few. Maybe that is what happened in this case.

Remember Maxine Waters with her “socialize the oil companies” slip? He didn’t misspeak. That is the plan.

I remember that. This has been the plan all along, they just don’t usually say it out loud.

It’s called a freudian slip and it is exactly what they up to.
In fairness he also said 300 people not 300 million.
We all know what is at stake here.
Conservative movement (if there is one) is individual responsibility , charity and free markets.
Liberal progressive movement is from each according to his ability to each according to his need.
They will lie, cheat and misrepresent what they are doing in order to get achieve their goals and every now and then during the process we will here freudian slips like this one.

Agreed! His only mistake was admitting what he really believes.
