Ovide Lamontagne releases first television ad

September 2, 2010

While Kelly Ayotte and Bill Binnie continue to bash each other on radio, television, and in print, Ovide Lamontagne is finally set release his first television commercial. Here it is:

Ovide Lamotagne does not have the funding to go all out against the much better funded Ayotte or Binnie, so he has been forced to sit back and bide his time his until now–while running a grassroots campaign and connecting with the people.

I feel that people are getting tired of the negative ads that both Ayotte and Binnie are running and Ovide Lamontagne may be able to parlay that–along with a good showing in the debate on September 9th–into a surge at the polls on September 14th.

Ovide Lamontagne has been running a grassroots campaign and he will have his chance to show the undecided voters of New Hampshire who he is and what he stands for on September 9th.

I ask all of those who are still undecided–as well as those who are tiring of the ongoing war between Ayotte and Binnie–to take a closer look at the man that Laura Ingraham called the “only true conservative in the race.”

That’s very good. I can see why you endorsed him.

I agree with Matt, I can see why you like him. He seems very grounded talking about the issues and not bashing his opponents.

And now he is making a move in the polls! This could be exciting!

He looks like a very promising candidate… and he might well win this if his opponents continue to bash each other.

The electorate is getting sick and tired of candidates of the Republican party doing all the opposition research FOR the Democrats before the primary is even over.

But we had a very extraordinary Congressional primary here in my district… we had five very good Republican candidates who did not have a problem with “enemy recognition”. I personally heard at least three of them (at campaign events) say that they believed that they were the most conservative candidate, but that there was not a one of the five running that they would not proudly vote for. All five of them knew who the REAL enemy was… the Democrat incumbant.

“Enemy recognition” is, I’m starting to think, a problem in the old school Republican establishment, and one that causes a lot of preposterous hypocracy when the loser must then endorse the very person he has accused of raping and pillaging the general public. Every one of the four losers in our House primary can proudly throw their support behind our winner, Ron McNeil, without one minute of embarassment.

That is the way it needs to go in the future.

That is exactly what seems to be going on between Ayotte and Binnie, while bashing each other they seem to have forgotten that they are giving the Democrat–Paul Hodes–ammunition that he will be able to use against either one of these candidates if they do win the Republican nomination. The head of the NHGOP realizes this and has asked both candidates to stop the mudslinging. Binnie spoke out against this call for civility because he feels it would help the “establishment” candidate–Ayotte. If either Ayotte or Binnie wins they will be damaged goods, but Ovide has taken the high road and he may actually be the beneficiary of the negative attacks. At least I hope so! Of all the people I will be voting for next week, Ovide is the man that I am most excited about!

Too true. At the very least, if they can’t be civil, we should make the point that we need to make the Democrats pay for their own opposition research out of their own campaign funds.

We don’t need to hand it to them for free.

Agreed! Why make it easier on them?
