Ovide Lamontagne continues to surge; tonight’s debate will be crucial
Just a quick post before tonight’s debate.
With just 30 minute to go before tonight’s big debate, Ovide Lamontagne’s internal polling shows him pulling to within 10 points of Kelly Ayotte with Bill Binnie continuing to slide.
Tonight’s debate is probably going to go a long way in deciding the final outcome of next Tuesday’s Republican primary here in New Hampshire. With Ovide Lamontagne continuing to gain momentum, a good showing tonight may help him to syphon off even more of Bill Binnie’s supporters.
Bill Binnie has just received the endorsement of a pro-choice PAC–the Republican Majority for Choice PAC– this is only going to hurt his chances among conservatives and it will be interesting to see where the pro-life conservatives who may now be turned of by this endorsement will decide to cast their votes.

I hope he did well. This is the kind of stuff that is great for the conservative movement. We need to push the RINOs from the party and we need to send a message to the establishment Republican leadership. They can either be part of the solution or move on. Thanks for the update Steve.

I think that he did very well, but there was no knockout blow. The candidates were all civil, I think that Ayotte abd Binnie realize they are losing support because of the negativity and stayed away from it. Ovide came off as the most conservative person on the stage, and he was well spoken and knew all the issues.
There were a couple of times where candidates didn’t directly answer the questions–in typical political style–but when the question would get to Ovide he would say “I belive your question was…..” before directly answering the question. He tells you what he thinks, he does not try to play both sides, and that might be what I like about him most.
I think he helped his case with undecided voters, we will know in a few days.
